Great murder/mystery/thriller flick. Joseph Chang and Edward Chen are excellent in these roles, as both usually are. Joseph is looking good as he ages...:D

I don't mind fucked-up, ambiguous endings as long as they're earned, and I think this one was. We don't know if Edward Chen goes to prison again for killing the kid or if he gets off for self-defense; the film leaves that open, just as we don't actually see the anchor man/dad delete the file on the computer at the end either. The screen goes to black without showing us the computer screen. I think I heard a click, which might have been the mouse, but the fact that we weren't shown the file deleting on the computer screen leaves things wide open...SEQUEL!!!

Now...isn't that a lot more interesting than having everything tied up in a neat bow as an ending?

The bigger question is WTF do directors put important scenes AFTER the credits? I had turned the flick off and the only reason I went back to watch that scene was that I saw your comment here. I can't be the only one. I wonder how many people have seen this flick and have no idea about those last few minutes that explain everything...good god.

She was ABOVE the age of consent in Korea, which is 16, meaning she can legally have sex with anyone who is also over the age of 16. He was convicted of two counts of "Intercourse with the purpose of prostitution," which as I've said, makes her the prostitute.

The words "sexual assault," "rape," or "exploitation" appear nowhere in court documents.

Whatever the case, he was publicly humiliated, sentenced, did community service, couldn't find work for almost ten years, and paid the prostitute and her parents a hefty sum of money settled out of court when they sued him, which is what she was after all along.

The age of SEXUAL CONSENT, with any other person above the age of consent, be they 16 or 116 years old, is SIXTEEN. This young woman legally CHOSE to have sex with the 40-year-old and it's none of your business. The only question in court was whether or not he manipulated her. You keep bringing up things like "age of majority" that are irrelevant to the case.

I'd say she manipulated him as well, and call it even. But given your obsession with sex and your need to drive celebrities to suicide. I'd also say that, as a member of any society, you absolutely DO have a responsibility to move on once a convicted person has paid their legal debt to society. BTW, he was sued by the young woman who prostituted herself for her career, and her parents. The lawsuit was settled out of court. I'd guess she came out of things much richer than when she went in. She was a frustrated, angry prostitute, just like the ones whose johns skip out of the hotel room without paying the fee.

The young woman chose to have sex with the actor was 17 at the time, and legally able to CONSENT to sex with anyone, of any age, she decides, which she did.
