This is quite good. Tsumabuki Satoshi is excellent as the ML, an ethical, caring doctor placed in a horrible position by the vagaries of war. I was riveted for the entire 73 minutes of the movie. Infinte shades of gray. The FL is very good too. All of the actors are.
I liked it! Slow pace, but interesting Japanese historical fiction. And certainly not what I expected from another Miiki Takashi flick. No gore, blood, or sex. lol
While I respect your opinion on Krist but I don't think people should judge him without knowing the full story.…
The "Krist is a homophobe" so-called controversy can be summarized by the title of one of William Shakespeare's greatest comedies: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Internet losers search desperately each day for something, anything to blow out of proportion and get all self-righteous about. When I finally looked into what this tempest in a teapot was all about, I was shocked at how lame and meaningless the incidents being used against him are.
I'm gay and I thought his response to the "are you gay?" question, which was "absolutely not" across his distressed-looking face and a couple rows of angry emoticons, was funny. He was sick of being asked and so he made his feelings about it clear. So what? People are sooooo hyper-sensitive these days, hungry for anything to destroy a celebrity over.
Though I don't think he should have bothered, he made a very gracious and groveling apology to all the supposedly offended people and that's the end of it.
I'm enjoying this watch. It's far from being the greatest, but it's the first Thai series I've been able to stick with since Midnight Chicken.
To some extent I am getting a kick out of watching Krist play this OTT goofball role. However, to me it seems he is playing a stock character-the zany boy/man, awkward, quirky buffoon-not a distinct, actual PERSON. So it's fun to watch the craziness but a lot of the potential zing is missing because I'm watching a TYPE, not an individual. His goofiness is generic. I would have liked to see him bring some mannerisms specific to Gawin rather than playing your basic clown.
Fluke is hot and I like the way he's playing his part. A guy who one assumes is arrogant because of his looks, confidence and popularity, but is in reality a kind, considerate dude. He and Krist make a nice pairing physically. Tall and lanky but graceful against short and a little bit soft makes for a nice contrast.
Note to Souta: “No” is the wrong answer when you’re asked if you like the guy you’re trying to kiss. I…
Too true. Mahiro did everything exactly opposite of the way his boss/friend told him to approach things. Had he been brave, as suggested, he would have allowed the kiss, Souta would know he was in love and they'd be in each other's arms. Now, not so much.
I respect your opinion...even if it's shallow, judgmental, & shows how unknowledgeable you are about Kpop music…
You say "I just try not to shit on others taste in art..." and then you shit all over the tastes of billions of Taylor Swift fans by letting us know you "despise" her and another sentence or two describing in great detail how much you loathe her.
She's written or co-written hundreds of songs across the following genres and been very successful doing so: Country Country-Rock Country-Folk Folk Bluegrass Pop Dance-Pop Pop-Rap Pop-Rock EDM Musical Theatre To say there are NO songs out of that vast oeuvre that you can appreciate in any way says more about a closed mind than TS' songwriting or singing. An endless list of major stars have lauded her talents as a singer-songwriter, including Carole King, Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, Elton John, Ringo Starr, Billie Joel, the Foo Fighters, Michael Stipe, and on and on it goes. A noted music historian whose name escapes me said "she is the best singer-songwriter of several generations, not just one. She is a poet as well as a musician."
I'm not trying to convince you or turn you into a Swiftie. It's clear that if she wrote the most stunning symphony for a full orchestra ever put to paper, you'd describe it as more "bathwater." I'm just always interested in people who find a way to demean and insult a hugely popular star because they ARE a hugely popular star, as a means of setting themselves above the hoi polloi. I don't know if you are one of those people, but your vicious TS insults indicate you might be. And of course, you have every right to choose to be one of those people. I'm not saying you don't, but I AM commenting on it, as I have the right to do.
I never cared for Nirvana but I loved "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and one other song. Never liked R.E.M. in general but liked several of their songs. Never cared for the Bee Gees or Reba MacIntire much, but like songs from both of them. Queen bores me but Bohemian Rhapsody is some kind of genius. Not a huge Aretha Franklin fan but "Freeway of Love" blew me away. And on and on this list goes too...

I don't block people.
Also, the impertinent, shameless girl from work has all the sex appeal of a tree stump.
That said, the double-compounded misunderstanding trope has raised its ugly head, sadly.
