I laughed out loud at the epic Dead Fish Mannequin Kiss. :) It took me back to the very first BL I watched (before I knew any better), SOTUS, and how, when at long last there was a "kiss" at the end of the last episode, the MCs leaned in to each other, but then the camera cut away to a few feet behind them and began swooping and swirling around them, ever angle and distance calculated to conceal the fact that their lips were not touching. Which was absurd, because it was glaringly obvious from the positions of their heads that there was NO way their lips were even close.
As mentioned, I had no idea of this bizarre BL convention nearly seven years ago, so my spontaneous reaction was, "whaaaaaaaaaaaaa tf is happening right nowwwwwww?! Is the the end of all things, or whaaaaaaaaaat?!"
Now, the Thais have come a long way with the making out and sex (or s*x, as the MDL Church Ladies spell it), of course, but here we are in 2025, and Japan, bless its heart, is still stuck in 2016. hahaha It was nearly as funny when, later, Ogami throws Kano across the room, onto the bed, and hops on top of it him, animal lust overtaking him, then somehow restrains himself and serves Kano a second helping of dead fish. hahaha One can only laugh... :D
Anyone else notice the camera couldn't bring itself to share the mouth-to-mouth candy exchange with us, either? Lips wouldn't have had to touch for that, but I guess candy-sharing is too risque for our delicates JP BL-watching sensibilities. I also hate how JP BLs turn bottoms into shy, blushing maidens once they hit the sack with their man.
On the other hand, it was refreshing to see a bit of what is undoubtedly the sexual spirit of the Manga, in Ogami refusing to take Kano's weak, half-hearted "no's" for an answer, and plowing right ahead with what we're left to imagine was some hot porking. I immediately wondered how many Church Ladies would be in MDL comments expressing their fervent concern for the dubcon, noncon, and f**kcon on display in this episode. I'm pleasantly surprised to have only seen one such Church Lady, so far.
As many have said below, this ep was insanely rushed, but given how Puritanical the smooches and bed scene were, it's not like we were going to miss anything. I'm impressed they even managed to shoehorn a flirting straight girl/love interest misunderstanding into the plot at the last second, weak as it was. There were slow spots throughout all six episodes that could have been cut/tightened up to allow for a less hectic finish within the same framework.
btw, I hated that Christmas Cake-eating, brazen harlot who dared to coo and giggle at Ogami, on sight. I wish Kano had punched her. Back off, beyatch.
Both leads are good actors. Unfortunately, the script wasn't up to their talents. Hopefully, we'll see more of both in future projects. Nakagawa Daisuke is the standout, in both acting and hotness.
I really enjoyed this series. At least, until Ep 6. I was not expecting, and I wasn't happy with, that NC scene…
oh, you poor delicate thing you. life is full of things that will make you a teensy bit uncomfortable. but I'm sure if you try hard you will be able to survive.
If Netflix can't cast anyone with a past like that, they would never cast anyone. Every country k-lled millions…
The more you write, the dumber you seem. Anyone who can't spell out the word "kill" or "killing" is not to be taken seriously. Let me guess, you spell sex as "s-x," rape as "r-pe," etc, correct?
lol Do you spell "yell" and "yelling" as y-ll and y_lling, to protect the fee-fees of people who have been yelled at?

"Involved in any war..." You seem to be making no distinction between aggressors and victims. Surely you're not that dense...but maybe you are. Do you equate Ukraine's "involvement" in the current war with that of Russia in the same conflict?
Likely the best Filipino, gay short film I've seen. Naturalistic, believable acting from both leads. If the version I saw had subtitles, it would have helped to tie the story and the song together for me. Oh well...
For two men 20 years apart in age, the chemistry was right there from the beginning, even though things started out rough. Age gap relationships can work, but the massive changes in technology we've seen over the last 25 years can put a lot of strain on things, as we see in this story.
This.Oh, you asked "why."For clicks, that's why.I hate that I had to give Lily Alice, the MDL Trash Article…
Lily Alice doesn't "write" in the sense that most people think of it. She lazily slaps her name at the top of some pre-written piece of trash from Dispatch, or chops together parts of four or five articles from equally bogus sources in a blender, and slaps her name on whatever oozes out at the end.
Lily is what is known in the journalistic world as a "hack."

Recommended for a light watch.

Also, this has the signature, cheesy Pinoy movie-making style.

Too bad, because some of the actors are attractive.
Dropped at 29:00.
