I don't know if i have a whole review for this but as someone who does not often get into dramas with kind of…
I could believe someone could change that much toward a loved one. I've seen it happen in real life. But you're right, the transition was almost non-existent; we didn't get to see it coming, it was suddenly just boom! there.
Finale: Love the airport ending. They had me worried. :)
I don't say this about many BLs, as most are barely worth watching once, but I think this one needs a second viewing before I understand what went down, exactly. I'm left with questions, even as basic in some cases, as who is who? :D
I had a lot of trouble liking Iljo, and I'm unsure as to whether that's me or what was intended. I have no qualms with feeling ambivalent about main characters, often I enjoy those kinds of gray areas. But, I'm not sure my view of him is based on fact, or if I misinterpreted. Same with the head coffee shop dude. Just when I decided he was likable and worthy, something would come out of his mouth that had me thinking twice. Either way, he's a cutie, too. Looks like a puppy, then snarls ferociously. :)
The evil Jeong In, who delivered much of the show's tasty darkness, was wonderfully acted.
Then there's JH. This is the first full-length series I have seen Jeong Ri U in. Based on this and the two micro-series I saw on YT, this guy is a talented actor. He has depth, charisma, and natural acting skills which he has honed. I see him as a possible, future big deal, and not just in BL. In fact, I hope he doesn't get stuck in BL World. I'd like to see him go far in feature films and big budget Kdramas.
“Most MDLers were going to rate this flick highly, no matter what.” or maybe people just interpret media differently……
Exactly. You're much more interested in policing my "attitude" and guarding other people's (your) feelings, than in anything having to do with the film itself.
What you think of my attitude is of zero interest to me.
“Most MDLers were going to rate this flick highly, no matter what.” or maybe people just interpret media differently……
That is incorrect.
"...only because they don’t align with yours." As I have made clear in my comments, I reached the conclusion that "...most MDLers, etc..." because it is obviously the case, and I provided a lot of evidence for why.
And once again, instead of showing why and how I am wrong, you grind your gears feeling butt-hurt that I'm "condescending, blah blah blah." Which indicates, again, you are disinterested in showing why you saw what you saw in the film, and extremely interested in your hurt feelings.
This is another series where I always watch the opening credits sequence, just because it's so well done. :)
The setting and context of this plot is the dry world of business sales, yet I'm having all these goosebumps and disturbing, gushy feels. I actually teared up while Kano and his office mates were opening up to each other. :)
Ogami in that blue suit/vest. He gets hotter every episode. So funny, how they react to Kano's personality change with...fear. lol ...when Japanese people get to bowing to each other, and no one wants to leave a bow unanswered, so they keep bowing and bowing indefinitely. :D
Ogami is jealous of...himself!
This is just very well done and acted. Light, but also moving. Oh, and one other thing...(warning: obscenity behind spoiler button)

Check it out.
I don't recall what your referencing, I guess. :)
Thanks for responding.

Lee Dong Joo as Jeong In is a crazy good actor.
There's a great deal of good acting in this, particularly from JH.
Love the dark, twisted stuff...the angst and suffering are delicious.
End credits song is killer.
