My understanding is that US youngs see butt sex as a birth control method. No worrying about pregnancy if the sperm goes you know where. To be honest, that kind of saddens me, as it shows the lengths to which some straight girls will go to accommodate boys' sexual demands. It sounds like you and I may be about the same age and, yes, the idea of boy/girl butt sex back in the day would not be something that even occurred to us. Oral sex is also a lot more common among young straight people for similar reasons.
