I disagree. If every show has to show a condom, consent, lube, etc., then every show will be the same. What about all the fascinating story lines/plots that could emerge from any one or all three of those elements not being included?
And obviously, shows like this aren't intended for people who aren't mature enough, but it's not the job of show makers to censor their stories for people who shouldn't be watching in the first place. If it were, 3/4 of all movies/dramas made in the last 50 years would have to be destroyed.

Great fun to unexpectedly find a BL sex comedy for grownups. :) I was laughing and turned on at the same time, which isn't an easy thing for a series to do. It isn't sleazy but it's not pure and fluffy (thank god) either. Hits a nice sweet spot.
And Lord, the actors. Perfect casting. Opposite body types, jock/slender, but the personalities are switched from the standard submissive bottom/dominant top thing we always get. The only thing that could have made this better is if the bulky guy got topped for once. I'll take what I can get though.
Their acting is quite good, too. I saw the hunky guy and assumed his acting would suck, but he was perfect. His gentle nature is touching and a great contrast to his butch physique. The firm/professorial little guy is hilarious. All business, but eventually loses his cool demeanor.
And the sex is totally convincing! This you seldom find in a "BL," if that's the word for this one. If I found out they actually did the deed on set, I would not be surprised. :P
I was hoping it would turn out that the little guy is a con man, intercepting these skinship requests and showing up to take advantage. Maybe in the next episode...?
If you are 14, love Teddy bears, rainbows, and unicorns, and have never seen a BL before, this might be for you. If you are not those things, not so much.
Every cliche in the BL canon is here, from slip/fall/catch, to blowing bubbles, to catching cold after five minutes outside at night, to the bottom-coded character recovering in the infirmary and being pursued there by the top-coded character, and many more; it's all here. And that was in the first 15 minutes. After which, I tossed this one in the toilet where it belongs.

It would have been a lot more interesting if Elio had gone psycho with jealousy; that could have gone in all sorts of fun directions.
I don't normally eschew a good sex scene, but in this show, it felt entirely pasted-in and without purpose.
