How do you feel about the fact that Lu Fen violently raped Yichen in his office a couple of episodes back? That's an interesting way to express one's everlasting, all-encompassing love.

It's a cop-out that the script and Yichen seem to have forgotten all about that.

He was going to die anyway.
He asked a question and got an honest answer.

Yeah...that's an interesting conundrum, and it's a cop-out that the script seems to be having Yichen forget all about it. Even if he loves the guy, that is a whole other level of boundary crossing and violation, for which LF could go to prison, were Yichen to choose to go that way.

And LF was a total psycho when that occurred. I remember thinking that he has anger issues that will come back to mess with both of them. Someone who would do what he did to Y, especially as he supposedly loves him, has major psych problems. I'd make him do therapy/anger management.

I suspect things are going to get really nasty in this plot before all is said and done. At least, I hope so. ;)

Episode 5:
This is the first Chinese BL drama I have enjoyed to this degree.
If not for the dubbing, I'd be near 100 on this show.

Yichen demanding to do you-know-what was the bomb!
I've been hungry for that to happen in about 100 other BLs.
I love that the script and Yichen were so upfront about it. They copped out by having Yichen answer the door, but still...perhaps he'll demand it again later. Fingers crossed.

Ayden Sng continues to amaze with his remarkable acting. He has had multiple scenes calling for Lu Feng to be angry/begging/pathetic/vicious/sweet, and every one has landed as true, from the heart. Lu Feng's love for Yichen is tender and readily apparent. The feels he feels for Yichen are always on the surface of his skin for all to see.

There is a caveat, though. Midway through the scene where the boyfriends were chatting/flirting on the couch, I remembered that in both actors' cases, I was hearing the voice of a talented, professional voice actor, not Ayden Sng or LST, which kind of creeped me out. I realized that the emotions I was hearing Ayden Sng's voice were coming from somebody else. How the hell do you evaluate someone's acting when the voice you're hearing belongs to someone else?
That said, the voice actors are incredibly talented.

I've read about why Chinese dramas are dubbed, what with regional dialects and pressure from the Commies to make it seem everyone in China is united as one, speaking only an approved Mandarin dialect. lol How stupid. I also read that this may be loosening up, and that more and more actors are at least dubbing their own voice for their character. Interesting.

Does anyone else occasionally find Lu Si Tong's protruding upper lip distracting? :)
Sometimes I find it cute, other times not so much.
Ayden Sng, on the other hand, is stunningly handsome. Love his strong features. I'm a sucker for a powerful, prominent schnoz.

Does anyone know how to pronounce AS's last name, "Sng?"
As an English-only speaker, I'm lost without a vowel in there.

Yeah, those random, funky hairstyles on supporting characters are amusing. The dude at the very end reminded me of a Beatles cut, maybe Ringo back in the late 1960s. In the opening credits montage Ryo hands off some papers to a guy who has Donna Summer's haircut from the late 1970s. ;)

Leeway in sentencing indicates there are shades of gray within the term "guilty," the term you're trying so hard to make into a solid, monolithic onyx-black thing. Even if the mandatory punishment for a violation is death, every convicted person brings their individual circumstances and life history to the crime.

It's sad how many people crave black/white certainty to assuage their fears. People like you. Grow up.
