Right? 😂 I’ve learned not to say anything since I got told off by a staff member for saying “no synopsis”.
I try to find a good synopsis for shows like this, but they're from small websites with not great summaries, so usually when I submit a synopsis I get a message from the staff saying the source isn't good enough.
Ok, ok, ok.... give it up for the Queen!!! Yes!!! Raise those hands for CYH aka Queen Bee!!!! She was all that…
While I may agree with the visual comparison between Morticia Addams and LJH, nicknaming her after a strong matriarch that loves her family, treats them all with respect, and lets them be as weird and unusual as they desire is a little much. Morticia was an amazing parent, an excellent wife, and the backbone of the Addams family. You're doing her a disservice by assigning her name to the horrible mother in this show.
LMAOOO. I have not started watching this yet but I will make sure to read that comment there
I always default to having them off, but if a scene shows up that i just KNOW will have the best timed comments I'll backtrack a few minutes and turn them on to get a good laugh.
If their phones ring One. More. Time right before a kiss or during an important conversation I'm going to throw something out a window. The first couple times it was funny, but now it's overused.
Because they're mostly volunteer subbed/segmented and give credit to the people and work that goes into that.…
I guess everyone has their own standards. Yours are just a little beyond the norm. Maybe you don't understand how much work goes into subtitling and segmenting, or the years that go into being fluent in two languages. It seems Viki isn't the right service for your needs and you should find a better one that can meet your exacting standards. Does subtitling even HAVE rules? I'd love to see where it's written that the things you dislike are a rule being broken.
Honestly, I pay less per month for Viki Plus than I pay for one single burger meal from any fast food restaurant. If we want to keep these costs manageable then we NEED the volunteers that provide the service, and giving them credit for their time and effort seems like the bare minimum we, as watchers, can provide. If this is still an issue for you then the best course of action would be to learn the language yourself and not rely on the beautiful souls that donate their free time to give your ungrateful ass the best subtitles on the streaming services platforms.
Right. Every now and then I have to say something about Viki. Apart from the stupid additional subtitle to announce…
Because they're mostly volunteer subbed/segmented and give credit to the people and work that goes into that. They also offer a LOT of free content, unlike Netflix, Disney, and Amazon. They use the subtitles to "announce themselves" and remind people that they're consuming someone else's blood, sweat, and tears for free. I'm absolutely 110% grateful for all the work that Viki puts into providing quality content so quickly after Korean broadcast times.
I love the addition of the parentheses explanations, they're usually there to break down an idiom that might not make total sense and to add cultural context. Viki recognizes that a lot of watchers are also interested in learning the language so they add the word-for-word translation, then an explanation of what that means. Each country has it's own idioms, metaphors, and analogies that are exclusive to their culture, so native English speakers may not understand the full meaning of what they say unless it's explained. The big companies don't do this and SO many people that speak both languages say that the subtitles are dumbed-down in the extreme. Netflix is the worst for shortening the meaning of their subtitles to the bare minimum and watchers lose a LOT of the true meaning behind the words.
To any Viki Qualified Contributors here - most of us appreciate you and all your hard work. Thank you for everything you do!
It's been quite some time time since I was this INVESTED in a drama. I've watched a bunch that are airing, but this is the only one that I count down the days until the weekend or sit here and read all the comment section daily. The last show that had me in this kind of choke hold was Call It Love but that wasn't NEARLY as fun as this show!
I really can't get over the fact that the ML is dressed like a Boomer. There is literally no reason for this -…
I feel that as we watch him spend more time with the FL and he gets more sleep in her presence, then we will see that reflected in a change in his makeup styling. I think they're intentionally making him look on the edge of unhealthy so that we can see how much he improves while he's with the FL. Maybe his style choices will improve as well, since in the past his nickname was "asexual" because of his lack of interest in women, so maybe he dresses badly to keep them away. Once he has someone he wants to impress he may change his style to something more appealing.
But oh boy do I hate the ML's baggy-ass pants. You could fit three of him in those pants he wore to the beach. Yuck.
