I watched Jang Ki Yong in My Roommate Is A Gumiho before this came out and he rocked that role. Lots of expressions and vibrancy in his acting. I read reviews about his lack of expression in Now We Are Breaking Up and was very surprised. Song Hye Kyo also did an excellent job of portraying a very nuanced character in The Glory. They both have the capability to act very well. It goes to show how different directors can make or break the actors they're filming.
Which has the better subs? Netflix or Youku? Sometimes Netflix over-simplifies and sometimes Youku is a little garbled. If anyone has watched both, which did you feel was the better subs?
can anyone spoil me abt this drama? i would likee to watch new drama and thinking if i should watch this drama
So far it's a fun mix of humour, action, and political intrigue. There may be some romance upcoming, but it's not the main focus. It's only a 12 episode series and episode 5 airs today so we're almost half way through. It's holding my attention and I look forward to watching this weekly.
PLEASE mark the spoiler tab! It's a small thing. Coming here to have a chat is just not enjoyable when the comments…
I agree. I prefer to watch on Viki for the high quality subs, and they're only on episode 20, so coming for a quick scroll to see what other people are saying about the drama gave me like 6 spoilers right off the get-go. If something is still airing these people should be using the spoiler box more liberally.
While this wasn't the best drama ever, it managed to keep my attention and I watched each episode on the days it was broadcast. Considering how often I drop dramas or put them on hold, I'd say this show was able to accomplish a decent enough story to keep me engaged from start to finish. Parts of the plot were a little disjointed and the timeline got a little hard to follow with some of the flashbacks, but it eventually comes together and sorts out the details. I don't have an issue with love triangles so I didn't find this one too intrusive. I actually like the story progression that a love triangle can bring because it forces some jealousy and revelations of feelings from one or both of the leads.
HAHA. In episode 14 at around the 9 minute mark one of the roommates is wearing a shirt that says "I LIKE LONG WALKS and sex before marriage"... Guess the wardrobe department had no staff that could read English hahahahahaha
It was super cute for a low budget mini drama. I think I really only had two things I didnt like.1. The ending…
HAH the shoe thing. I totally noticed this as well. It was super loud! and yes, the ending was very abrupt with minimal explanation as to what was going on. You just had to guess.
Is it just me, or does anyone else have a REALLY hard time getting back into an airing drama if they skip a week in the middle? I'm struggling to get interested in the plot again, even though I really like this drama.
In my opinion it was a good drama but the airing schedule did not help at all, thankfully i decided to wait until…
I agree, the flashbacks got annoying by the end episode, especially for people like me that binged the entire series in 2 days. Although that closet kiss with tongue was definitely worth a few extra flashbacks!
I liked the mountain god. While he was a bit blinded by his need for revenge at times he also saved the leads and assisted them with starting their romance. He protected the ML when he was a kid getting attacked by the dog, and the ML and FL when that reporter was after them to expose her. He could have just ignored all that and let the reporter continue what he was doing, or left his memory intact, but he saved them and erased the guys memory in the end. I'm glad they gave him some closure in the end
I want to watch this but the rejection is the reason im hesitating to watch htia. Does anyone recommend this drama
The rejection was painful to watch, but very quickly he realized he screwed up and turned into a puppy chasing after her. I like that she held her ground and didn't just fall into his arms immediately. Definitely worth the watch, especially once he figured out that he had already caught the feels and started pursuing her. The second couple was also quite cute to watch.
omg that first wedding dress she wore in the shop... was it held in storage since the 80's? That ginormous bow on her ass, plus the ultra puffy t-shirt length sleeves... I'm dead.
I did read this comment before I started to watch it and thought, that it might not to be so bad... after 16 eps…
I actually ended up putting this on hold on episode 24. I had to give my brain a break from wanting to smack her "friends" around out of anger at how they treated her and gave her the worst advice EVER, ALL THE TIME.
Nooooo the closest theatre airing this to me is over 700kms away. There are NO Alberta cinemas playing this. The closest are Vancouver BC or Winnipeg Manitoba. There are 2,300kms between the two cinemas!
Perfect Marriage Revenge was an incredibly well done drama, but while the main ideas of the plots are mildly similar,…
I wish these people would remember that PMR is already finished airing whereas MMH has only just broadcast episode 2. We have 14 more episodes where the story could go crazy amazing, average, or crazy bad. We just have to trust the writers to know what they're doing. 2 episodes isn't long enough to truly indicate which is a better drama.
It had some moments of comedy, but it's very mild and minimal. It doesn't feel like "comedy" is a good descriptor, but it's not empty of some comic relief either.
