This was going to be a 10/10 for me until they killed two of my favourite side characters right in the last few minutes of the show. Still a 9.5, but those were some truly unnecessary deaths.
As light as the story of Lovely Runner is, there is nothing shallow about the impact this drama had on me. Even…
I'm a well-seasoned drama watcher. I've been addicted to rom-coms for years, and the chokehold this drama had on me after the first time I watched it... Wow.
I just started re-watching this yesterday and some scenes are still giving me the goosebumps and all the feels almost as strong as the first time I watched it. I'll definitely re-watch this one many times over the years to come back and visit my favourite on-screen couple.
I just started this drama yesterday and I've had soooo much second-hand embarrassment already. I cringe so hard when the FL in dramas makes a fool of herself over a guy that doesn't like her.
This is one of those shows that *lingers*. I know a lot of people hated it, but for some reason it grabbed me and the scenes keep replaying in my head. I've had dramas I rated 10/10 that I adore not cling like this, but for some reason this one attached itself to my brain and I'm re-living it over and over. It sucked me in and I watched the whole thing in one day when I should have been asleep.
I was afraid to watch this after seeing a lot of bad reviews and comments but I just rated this a 10/10 for how much I enjoyed it and how little sleep I got because I kept hitting "next episode". Are there things some people might not enjoy in this plot? Yes. But give it a try for yourself and drop it if it's not your cup of tea. I worried that I'd hate it and ended up enjoying it, even the parts other people don't seem to care for.
I have never been so angry at a drama in all the 468 that I have watched. Started off alright then in the end it went to shit. Choppy. Terrible ending. 0/10. Do not recommend.
I'm seeing a fully animated steaming pile of SOMETHING posted up in the Viki "Coming Soon" section that says: "Yumi, an average office worker with dreams of becoming a writer, finally takes the plunge to pursue her passion. Quitting her job, she enters a writing competition, setting her brain’s myriad of cells into overdrive. “Schedule Cell” crafts the perfect writing plan, while “Writer Cell” seeks constant inspiration. Meanwhile, “Anxiety Cell” worries endlessly, and “Love Cell” struggles to recover from Yumi’s rocky relationship with Babi. Can Yumi’s cells navigate the emotional rollercoaster and help her achieve her dream? This 2024 South Korean animated film, directed by Kim Da Hee, picks up where season two of the live adaptation of Lee Dong Gun’s Webtoon left off."
If this is our Season 3 I am SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED.
That 3 year time skip is SO jarring. They get together and then *BOOM* the next scene is 3 years ahead. You get…
No, the time lapse that is jarring for me is the one from when they get together to 3 years later while they're still together, not after they've broken up. They meet at the pond, kiss, then the next scene is 3 years in the future. You get almost 20 episodes of the build-up of them about to be in a relationship to them all of a sudden in a 3 year long term romance. The other time skips were fine, it was only this mid-romance one I found weird.
There are some cute moments here and there between the 2 leads, but there is very little romance even towards…
I adore Tan Jian Ci, and the ML he plays in Love Me Love My Voice was such a cute green flag... But there really wasn't any push/pull or drama to keep me watching. I think I dropped it when I started something else that was airing along with it at the time and the other show was more engaging. I loved the sweetness and the romance, but it was just *too* sweet I guess. Sometimes a little drama is needed to make it more rewarding when the mains finally get together, otherwise it feels a little anticlimactic to me.
Tan Jian Ci needs to be in more dramas because I could listen to him talk all day. His voice is magic.

The struggle is real for me... I have watched, dropped, or put on hold all of those you listed except Road Home, that's on my PTW list, but it's got a *vibe* that I need to be in the right mood for. I loved the ML in Love Me Love My Voice, but I put it on hold for some reason and haven't found the interest to go back and finish it.

I have, and it's what put me in this ultra-romantic mood that I can't kick. Seon Jae has spoiled me for every other man now and I'm struggling. I just finished Lighter & Princess, but that was such a slow burn that I'm looking for a raging inferno now lol
this is too highly rated for high good this is , I guess emotions overflowing there were multiple issues but good…
Often shows that have inflated ratings while airing are generally given those ratings due to certain actors/actresses fans that will give a 10 to a show no matter how good or bad the show is. After it has been out for a while and more people have watched it the ratings will settle into a more normal number. We see this with *most* dramas at least. Lovely Runner was #1 as it aired, but has since settled down into the #3 spot.
I watched episodes 1-20 a couple years ago and put it on hold for some mysterious reason that I forgot. I decided…
That 3 year time skip is SO jarring. They get together and then *BOOM* the next scene is 3 years ahead. You get none of the fun "getting to know you" cuteness of a new relationship.
One thing I have loved (that gives me the best butterflies) in both watches of the first 18 episodes was how he looks at her. From episode 1 the intensity in the way his eyes follow her is absolutely delicious.
