yes it's way more subtle and that's okay cause that means you can lose focus. you need to be able to tell who's who. it's more intriguing for me that way tbh

it's all in the eyes. the eyes and speech say a lot. they don't talk the same way. akhee always sounds so lovely and bubbly, sajo hyun sounds permanently unimpressed and disappointed in everything. when akhee was impersonating sajo hyun, i could also tell when they happened because he could manage to shift his eyes but where you could tell it was akhee was in the speech. those are the 2 major distinguishing factors
Tons of people pretending to have read the webtoon all through the comments, based on random comments a few, who…
likeeee. just drop it if you don't like it and go. it's so disheartening coming here everytime. if you say you hate something so much, why are you still here
having watched 3 eps, i’d say that this drama is weird 😂 in the best way possible! it feels all over the place but it feels like reading a book. it’s not character-driven but i already know how all the characters are and their motivations for ex. that scene of the king screaming and hallucinating cause he was seeing gyera and telling his guard to just bring more alcohol spoke volumes about who the king is as a person and i appreciated it. the show is also stupidly funny (poor shaman and eunuch neung!) i also love that the soundtrack placement has gotten so much better. there’s one that stuck with me from ep 2 & 3. i saw a comment that this drama has a campy vibe and it does! that’s its charm. with the speed of this drama, i wonder what’s yet to come wigs aside, i am astounded by park jihoon! i can’t say it enough. i know people play dual characters all the time but side-by-side is not easy to pull off and he makes it look so easy! in the conversations between sajo hyun and akhee, my brain wasn’t actually computing that it was the same person till i paused just to realize it. if not for anything, he’s the reason i’ll watch all 16 episodes. i’m still curious to know what happens next though. this is funnnn
it’s been a while since i watched this drama but it deserves more hype for how nuanced the acting of the leads was 😭😭 also that scene of kim young kwang fighting at the end?! no words. such a talented actor. amazing how he went from a happy-go-lucky spoiled chaebol in Hello, Me, to a cold and unhinged psychopath in Somebody, to a lonely and miserable man in Call It Love to a ruthless gangster in Evilive. he’s not recognized enough for me! i came for shin hakyun and KYK, i stayed for everybody. if you won’t even watch it for the plot, watch it for the acting. it was soo good!
done with ep 11 and i would still say i love this drama. it might have lost momentum after ep 8 but it still maintained most of its charm.
i’m probably in the minority of people who don’t want a happy ending. a happy ending for this drama would defy all human and even animal logic and won’t be as satisfying at all. a bittersweet ending would tie up loose ends better than a ‘happy ending’ would.
i’m happy taeha, taemin and sawol finally got their freedom no matter how much it must have cost them to especially sawol. her story is soo beautiful
people might say the grandfather’s character was redeemed but i don’t think so. he really got a pitiable ending and that’s what he deserved for all he did. i have some thoughts on ceo min but nehh, difficult to put into words. i like that she knows she’s not a good person sha
i hope to God that this drama does its best to stick its landing because i didn’t come far in this drama just to come this far. even without the ending, id still rate this an 8/10. it was a good watch and gave me things to think about
episode 11 helloooo??! this is the best episode so far! - noh do-kyung 😔 from episode 1, i was taken in by this character because he was never one note. i wanted so badly to just go and cure him completely. i’m not saying he’s innocent but how someone be normal with that kind of upbringing? - his mother has me conflicted. on one hand, i understand her fear for her husband cause he’s actually terrifying but excuse me, she basically abandoned her son! crazy because they even live together. if you can’t even run away, why not be a pillar for your child fgs - ms. shin and park bok-byu are so silly and i love them! - the gang members and their leader are so dedicated and i’m so glad guwon has accepted them. btw is it possible to have dog actors? their dog should start an acting career 😂 - the acting in this episode was so good! i also love the attention they gave to the team dinner culture of SK in a satirical way - while i was expecting something from the past lives angle, i wasn’t expecting THAT. now i want to see song kang in a sageuk. something like my dearest pls
shoutout to the village chief's wifey and the twins! their sense of humor reminded me of prison playbook so much 😂 as much as i loved this drama, i would say the villagers got me through it as watching this was a tough assignment cause it hit TOO CLOSE to home for me
however, 나는 행복합니다! forgive me if my spelling is wrong, i'm still learning my hangeul :-)
