this drama let me down so bad and what makes it so annoying is that i still found it interesting i really thought i was going to get a drama about a couple rising above their marital trials but that was not to be the fact that hyunwoo wanted his wife dead just didn’t sit well with me at all. the redemption also felt off because at what point did he forget? they could have really let us into the thought process of the characters to fully understand why they acted the way they did because i did a lot of thinking trying to figure them out let’s get into the miscarriage theme. it is SO UNBELIEVABLE how this was glossed over! especially as a lot of things changed from this point (they started sleeping in separate rooms here). there were no convos, there was no effort. if the drama had even used this as their turning point rather than focusing on their family problems, it’d have been a more layered work with all my personal gripes, and against popular opinion, kudos to them for their handling of the tumor angle. as a loved one of a brain tumor survivor, this drama correctly described the experiences and symptoms. haven’t looked into cloud cytoma so i can’t say much on it but the general symptoms were on point. and yes, believe it or not, you can come out of brain tumor surgery and be up and running weeks to months later (the having hair out of surgery was a fail tho) i’m holding out hope that another writer would do justice to a similar plot line in the future as the QoT writer forgot her plot. sigh
the like, share and subscribe clip at the beginning is one of the most unique and creative things ever. i look forward to it so much binged first 6 episodes and i’m waiting for this drama to wrap up so i can properly feast but it’s so hard 😩
They are smart at what they do, and he gave them a position out of loyalty IMO
i think that’s where the lawyer guy comes in. plus i’ve known a lot of people who didn’t make it past high school who run successful businesses hehe. a lot is learned through trial and error though but they get stuff done. it’s an interesting thing to think about though
im so in love with this drama, i regret not waiting to watch it cause thursday abi wednesday is too farrrr 🥹
also it’s important for everyone watching to know this, there’s the potential for this drama to make you cry buckets! i doubt it’ll be all fluff and cuteness especially with jihwan ‘s past so i’m curious to see how everything goes
and with that, love song for illusion comes to an end! this drama was soo campy and i guess that’s why i just couldn’t let go of it even though sometimes, i wondered wth was going on. park jihoon and hwang hee get the highest praise from me because they absolutely ate their roles up. huge kudos to park jihoon! i still wonder how he was able to do it that you could just sense that his demeanor had changed. i really could not get enough of his acting here and i really hope he continues to do well
at the end of this drama, i feel i would have liked the focus to more on the trauma and akhee’s creation because that was treated superficially. it felt sometimes that this drama did not know the direction to take or what to do with the characters. i didn’t really like the FL’s acting, found it stiff but i also don’t think she was given a lot to work with cause sometimes she felt like a side character. i will watch her next drama and see how that goes
should you watch this? as someone who actually binged episodes as they came out rather than 2 at a time, i found it more enjoyable that way. people’s tastes differ so try it and see if you like it
i love this drama soooooo much, it's a 10 for me! i went in with no expectations and came out so happy and soooo giggly. this drama was so painful to watch sometimes especially with the treatment of women, but the comedy balanced everything out so well that i couldn't even be upset for long. i ended up liking the MIL even though i found her so annoying initially. i loved the comedy here a lot
the acting was so good. honey lee is naturally hilarious and killed it here. this drama was my introduction to the male lead and my goodness, what a male lead he was! *swoons*. he fit so well into the role and the historical garb, and he was so likeable as an introverted character. you could tell that he had different sides to him. can't believe they robbed us of a kiss scene
kudos to the writer and the director of this drama and the entire team! *chefs kiss*
ep 14 felt like it was 2 minutes long. breezed by so fast! the preview is scaring me. ik previews can be misleading but this one actually looks bothersome. i just hope everything wraps up well 🤧
Who are these men (ML1, ML2) not handsome and not tall. FL is still awkward at acting... I've been waiting for…
these men?? it's the same person fgs. not handsome and not tall?? i'm sorry how tall do you want him to be? tomorrow you guys will still complain that there's too much superficiality and plastic surgery among k-actors 😒 if you're complaining about the drama that's one thing. but to talk down on the looks of the lead actor is another thing and it's just pointless
She didn't sacrifice her revenge. The man who slaughtered her family is dead already tho not killed by her. So…
thank you for explaining. it just doesn't hit me as it should. i think this drama's biggest problem is it's script though. like i don't even think anyone's acting sucks. it's just the script. sigh
as messy as this drama is, i can't drop it. i also don't get why people are saying park jihoon isn't acting well?? i think his acting fits the story! it can't be easy to be having a face-to-face dialogue with yourself while ensuring you convey all the right expressions for both personalities and he's doing so well i don't know how i feel about the FL cause it seems the writer forgot about her own development. so she sacrificed revenge for love or will take back the kingdom through hyun? idk man
