If you remember, the chubby General was trying to buy Dong Qing but was saved by Lu Anran in the second life. So in the first life, Dong Qing was with the chubby general and Mu Ze saved her from him. He didn’t need Brother Shen’s help because it was Mu Ze who found out about the bandit guy.
3. The exam is every three years not yearly. In the first life, they didn’t steal anything because it wasn’t Mu Chuan who will check the papers. In the second life, they had to exchange papers because Mu Chuan will grade them, the reason why Muze was trying to choose whose paper’s will match Mu Chuan’s aspirations in life.
4. Lu Anran told the start of the story to Mu Chuan. She even used the name ‘Miss Wang’ instead of telling him it’s actually her. It wasn’t a complete story because we(the viewers) already know what happened.
5. Kids bully each other not in front of the presence of Emperor and Queen. It’s mostly fourth prince(Mu Lin) who bullied them. Mu chuan is not the favorite child when he was younger, the Crown Prince was still alive back then, however, they didn’t explain much what happened to him after.
I suggest that you rewatch it again as the sub is better on WeTV now. Maybe you‘ll be able to understand it better.
It was a good ending for Cheng Ling Su and Hu Fei but a bad ending for the others. am I the only one who’s expecting a last-minute fantastic fight? And what happened to the twins?
TGN ending was so morbid though and I loved it. Hahahaha!

Oh no worries. I didn’t assume that you hated the drama since it was clearly indicated on the review that you were on episode 14/30. I was just trying to rationalize just in case the eng sub turned you off. Although most of your concerns can be answered by the later episodes. It’s sad to hear that you’re not continuing it but everyone has their own taste and tolerance so I respect that.
Also, the genre is not common to general public compared to the other ‘romance’ or idol dramas.
