Mu Chuan is already suspecting his brother, started when Lu Xin Ran tried to kill Lu Anran during the scholar…
I’m not sure if you understood but Mu Chuan already knows how bad Mu Ze is, he doesn’t know the extent but he knows he’s scheming but he’s not the type who would fight/scheme things. He’d rather talk it out or convince Mu Ze to stop doing things and whatnot because he doesn’t like to be a bad person. It’s not about who will he believe but about what type of person Mu Chuan is. Sometimes, no matter how bad a person is, Mu Chuan stills sees the good in him. He wants peace. Do you get what I’m saying? He knows Lu Anran is scheming, he knows Mu Ze is scheming but he’s more disappointed with Lu Anran’s betrayal than with Mu Ze.

There’s no point in telling Mu Chuan her plans because her plan is to kill Mu Ze. Mu Chuan will only convince her to give up that idea and live freely, which he practically said to her many times. Sadly, that’s how he’s written — pure, kind, doesn’t believe in revenge and with high sense of justice. However, he might change in the last few episodes.
Mu Ze actually lost his allies one by one. Come back and edit your review after you finished it and understood the story well. Could also be a translation issue as you didn’t understand the scholar’s purpose why he wanted to pass the exam and why he chose to kill himself despite doing his best for 10 years. You expect a man to give up after so many years? I don’t think so. Also, the idea of her using Scholar Xu is based on what happened in her first life, when she thought Mu Ze protected Scholar Xu for his benefit but found out that it was all part of his schemes. Lu Anran didn’t push through with her offer because it would be safer for him to leave in Hanjing or out of Lu’s family. Unfortunately, Lu Xinran ruined her plans. I don’t think it was reckless, more of a miscalculation.
I do understand your point with Lu Anran’s guilt but her finding justice is not just about Scholar Xu’s death and his purpose but also to ordinary citizens who were affected and will be affected with injustice in the future.
I suggest that people should rewatch as the subs are way better than before(especially on WeTV) because previous sub was a mess.
Sigh...so i see Mu Chuan still acts like some side chick :P And i really don't know, if he's being alive, is because…
Mu Chuan is already suspecting his brother, started when Lu Xin Ran tried to kill Lu Anran during the scholar story. However, he always believes Mu Ze’s explanations to him. He’s pretty dumb at this point because he loves his brother so much. I mean, all the evidence is in front of him and yet he chose to confront his bother or talk it out instead of doing something about it. Well, apart from reporting to his father which took him awhile.
There were many times, i would want to slap LAR to just tell what is going on to MC. What the heck is going on…
So tell Mu Chuan that he was killed by his beloved brother in her first life? That his own father wants her dead if she doesn’t stay away from him? Then what? There’s nothing more to tell because Mu Chuan already knows that the emperor wants Lu’s business and Mu Ze wants Lu Anran in the first place, but what did he do? What can he do??? Telling Mu Chuan won’t change a thing. He’s still powerless. Maybe they can plan something, but for how long?? When they are both dead?? Mu Ze won’t give up, even knowing that his own brother loves Lu Anran.
Guys, in the episodes before today we were already told that the purpose of her rebirth was for her to accept…
I guess it’s because they expected to see Lu Anran turning the tables and it didn't Happen(at least not yet), so many people are disappointed. Since it’s a ‘revenge’ theme, they’d expect something along the lines. Apparently, it was more of a lesson rather than a payback. So now they question the purpose of ‘rebirth or reborn’.
im not the kind nit pick the plot of any drama. bt what is the point of lu anran's actions?she lost her mother…
She still thinks that she can challenge fate, Since her brother, father and Mu Chuan are still alive. She believes that she still has chance to keep them alive using Mu Ze’s power and prevents him to be the emperor. Hence, why Lu Anran gave up Mu Chuan because the emperor wants him to lead Dahan someday instead of Mu Ze. Although I have to agree, the execution may be poor or too subtle, could also be a translation problem that’s why it can be confusing to viewers. Luckily, I read comments on weibo and their explanation /summary were more clear and direct.
Would have been epic if Lu Anran and Xiao Jing Que(after getting a baby) will join forces to bring down or kill MZ. Since XJQ can control the military power through her brother. 😅😂
Maybe you have missed it, but Mu Ze sends his men to track Lu Anran’s father and it was reported back to Lu…
That’s possible. I am also prepared that Lu Anran and Mu Chuan will die at the end. Haha! I just hope they provide the viewers an acceptable and satisfying reason for Lu Anran’s reborn.
Lol. Prince Yi wants the business himself not Lu Anran. He could just order to kill the entire family but Mu Ze’s…
He actually comes out here and there. Like after the court meetings. Threatening Mu Ze all the time or being mentioned that he’s on war or away. But it wouldn’t be bad for Lu Anran to try, I guess.
