I believe slow burner isn't for you. Yes, it's true there hasn't been much of exchange of conversation between the main leads but when it's their screen you can be certain they have something even in an awkward situations. There were many small details all over that I am really happy about, that one scene when they were both changing clothes in the stable, how he listened to the rustling of unbuttoning her clothes, that was intense even if they were yards away and didnt interact with each other. They are slowly pacing up and taking their time to get to know each other and this is 36 episodes, we have a long way to go. And it is too early to say that, give the characters time to develop.
I am thinking the same but I was confused with that and her character didn’t come out again, at least until episode 8. Shi Yue is avoiding the niece because of that reason.
I have a doubt in the first 2 episodes, the girl whom Shu Yi’s ex boyfriend cheated on, rode the same Roll's Royce car (same number plate) from the hospital scene, she also mentioned about an uncle. But that lady was not Qin Shi Yue, the niece. Anyone can explain that?
Just finished this drama and it’s heart warming. Both are a natural in husband wife role. Sometimes, I think how can YY not feel anything with their steamy kissing scenes 🥹, I was just watching them kissed and oh God 😂. Their chemistry is phenomenal.
So I am currently braving the 40 episodes of this series 6 months after its broadcast even if I know how it will end and without skipping a single scene. I am not really a fan of xianxia because of many reasons (heavy fantasy, bad CGI, off make-ups..etc) but there are few series with this genre that surpasses my expectations and TTEOTM is one of it. I am a fan of LYX also and this pair is very likable. This guy's expression is on point and I am really glad I picked up this series, also his costumes were so majestic. He is made for such drama. Xianxia is his forte.

The director and screenwriter of this series are really famous for such genre of screenplays. Actually, in general many of Chinese novels that were materialised have endings like this, which they prefer to be open or just hanging and its up to the audience how you'll be able to adopt it. I mean all of us were asking who, what, why that was the ending. And that's the work of art.
