I know exactly what you mean about there not being a good balance between the romance and the investigation plot. It’s bothered me in other dramas I’ve watched so I think I might pass on this one. Just curious, which other dramas do you think balance it well?

How is this adaption? I like dmbj but I want to make sure this show is good before I decide to watch it. It adapts approximately the same story as the 2015 Lost Tomb show, right? Are there any good pingxie moments?

This is one of my favorite movies ever!!! I’ve rewatched it multiple times. If you like the movie I would highly recommend reading the novel it’s based on. As much as I love the movie, the novel is even better! reading it also makes the movie easier to understand and knowing the background makes the romance in the movie even better. So I would also recommend rewatching the movie after reading the novel. the experience is Unmatched!

Love this guy!! I was actually a fan of him before I’d watched any cdramas at all! I came across his ost for Sand Sea by chance and just loved it! I actually think his best work was for Three Body, though! 时间的尽头 and The Day of Unknown are both soooooo good they’re amazing songs even if you haven’t watched the drama

Sorry this is kind of an insane question but I’m trying to decide if I should watch this or not: how would you compare the amount of bromance in this show to other bromances, like mysterious lotus casebook, the untamed, etc? like is there a lot of bromance that you can easily ship the leads or not?

I’m too afraid to start watching this in case it doesn’t get to air in its entirety but it’s so hard to resist 😭
