Almost two years now. Wow. It feels like yesterday when it aired. But the MDL rating hasn't changed one bit in two years which means they never fixed the issue.

I just started this. Epi 1 was good but I thought the episode duration was short...that's what I read earlier but the first epi was 50 mins.

Honestly people are blowing this out of proportion now. Things really aren't that bad. CFY's side is taking care of things. For a while he will just have to keep a low profile, not make public appearances and all. Brands haven't dropped him. He might lose a few projects for the time being but I see many people acting like HYX hasn't aired for CFY....like it wasn't stuck for two years already. As long as he can come back, HYX can still air. The delay is tcs fault. They kept waiting for the right time. Now even Abyss/Silent Reading is airing soon.

Yeah it's Luhan and Guan Xiaotong. They are still going strong. Kpop rules were stricter but things are a bit better now as many idols now openly date and don't even give clarifications. Fans still grumble, but they get on with their lives. C-ent should just do the same and not bother so much with how fans react. At the end of the day, everyone needs entertainment, so people will eventually watch.

I think it's only one brand that did this. I have a feeling CFY's side is quietly handling the situation. Let's hope for the best.

Let's all patiently wait and not believe every melon that comes. Antis are having a field day, but we all knew this would happen. Some so-called fans unfollowing is also a given. Probably these are girlfriend fans who dreamed of dating CFY themselves, or cpfs. This is happened with other actors too for trivial matters. Just the other day, Tan Songyun lost career fans coz they didn't like her recent drama choice. A while back Zhang Linghe lost and later gained new fans for his dating rumor. A while back XZ lost some his cp fans with Li Qin coz of another rumor.

I am not gonna give up on HYX !! Stay strong clown fandom !!

Btw, what about his movie with Zhou Ye? Any updates on that?

Honestly, I'll take any version as long as it airs.

Ok let's not speculate here and compare his situation with other actors because this is indeed a different situation. His movie was about to release, HYX was rumored to air, so this doesn't seem like a coincidence.

It's confirmed the girl wasn't married at that time. Both were single. Even the girl is saying she got married after they broke up. CFY is being wronged here. But Cnetz and Cfans are something else. He doesn't deserve this. He is an actor. As long as he does his job well, who he dates should be nobodies business.

As happy as I am about all the melons about HYX and SPL airing, I am actually worried about how much stuff they are going to cut. Honestly, I'd rather wait a bit longer and have some smaller BL adaptations release before HYX to make things easier.

Thanks for the rec. Just checked, it's a Jang Geun Suk drama. I haven't seen him in anything in years. But I don't like this recent trend of splitting such short dramas into seasons and then making the audience wait. I guess I'll wait till all the epis are out.

Kdramas are not what they used to be. After they went mainstream, they lost the whimsical vibe that attracted the foreign audience in the first place. I think the misconception about cdramas start from the fact that romcom kdramas are super popular and usually recommended as starter packs. So most new cdrama viewers just assume cdramas will be the same and just look for romcom/idol cdramas, many of which are web dramas with rookie actors and end up getting disappointed. Not all of those are quality stuff and just made for teens and not the wider audience. Only when people start delving deeper or ask for recs, they find out the all the good stuff from different genres. And of course, c-ent in so big, so there will definitely be good and bad stuff just like any other industry. Even big production dramas with good actors won't always turn out to be good. That happens everywhere. The new viewers that start with costume cdramas have better luck. There are so many varieties to choose from...wuxia, xianxia, historical, palace intrigue et al. Even non-romance cdramas are so good.
