Finished all 33 epis. I started watching this late so I wouldn't have to wait for the epis to get subbed. But now that I am done watching all the subbed epis, I am feeling so empty. I don't want this to end. I don't even have to wait till I can watch the remaining ones, I can already say this is a masterpiece. This drama, Wenzhou and other characters, ZZH, GJ and the cast have made a special place in my heart. It will probably be a while until anything else can even come close.

Well I just read all the replies from Youku. It's pretty clear now that epi 37 will only be available for vips. That's just frustrating. But they also talked about Bonus clips. I am curious, did they release other bonus clips domestically or on the Youku app? Apart from the extended scenes which we got on the yt special epis, are there more?

It will be really unfair to all the loyal fans. Not to mention, many new viewers in future might not even realise that there is an epi 37...that is, if they still keep the whole thing available for non vips. That's not a smart move imo because the 'other show' is available on YT along with the special and continues to attract new fans even now after almost two years.

Can somebody explain to me how WKX and ZZS understood YBY was coming for WKX in epis 26-27? Was there a clue in the letter he sent? I mean he was supposed to come to Four Seasons Manor anyway.

I agree. One of the reasons why this drama is so good is because every actor did job their wonderfully. I also love the actors you mentioned. A good supporting cast is always needed to make a great drama.

I am on ep 23, the kid playing young WKX is such a good actor. His expressions are spot on.

Exactly, sometimes too much hype can ruin a drama. It's visible that the production, cast and crew really gave their all for this drama.

Oh yes, I read about how everyone was upset about how Guardian turned out. So that makes sense. Honestly, I am having a hard time believing GJ and ZZH's previous acting was not good because they are so good here. I guess I have to see it for myself to believe it.

But it seems people learned nothing from TU/CQL. You don't need a very big budget, top/experienced stars to make a drama successful.

I sort of guessed this novel was not as well known, because everyone kept talking about other Priest novels but not so much about this one.
