I don't know what to say or how to say it. Seeing them together on stage, it felt so surreal. But it also felt somewhat bittersweet. Last year when all the c-ent awards were happening, I only kept up with the updates and that too for other artists, not knowing what I was missing; or that a year later, I'll end up watching a c-ent award live for a cdrama couple. I never got the chance to witness them promote TU, WWX and LWJ or stand alongside on the stage as co-actors of the same drama. Of course, I have seen those but it's not the same feeling as seeing it while it was happening. So seeing them on the same platform but stand apart gave me mixed emotions. Of course, I am happy for their achievements and growth as artists and I love to see them take on new characters and make new chemistry, and it's perfectly understadable that they are promoting different shows now, but I am also a sad because I missed out as a fan.
I hope someday they'll re-unite on the screen again and someone will write two amazing characters for both of them, so that I can witness the whole journey as a fan. Maybe someday they'll both sing 'Wuji' together on a stage. Or maybe, sometime in the near future, they'll just share the same space and laugh like before. It was wonderful to watch them perform. Loved their songs. I was happy but I also couldn't hold back my tears.
Anyway, it was a happy event. They must have seen all the fan support and must know how much they are loved. Good to see XZ fully back. He seemed so emotional towards the end of his performance. WYB seemed tired or lost. He has been working nonstop, so I hope he's getting enough rest and seeing all the fan support cheered him up a little. Congrats to both of them.
Why can they fly sometimes and sometimes they fall straight to the ground? I’m in ep 19 and I still don’t…
Oops, sorry. I suppose I have given you a spoiler then. I understood that part by watching that episode itself and I thought everyone else did too. I didn't watch the drama while it was airing and only watched it this year, so I had no idea that many fans who didn't read the novel earlier only understood that part later.
PS: Just to add, WWX researches core transfer and does discuss the matter with WQ before taking JC to the mountain and later he is shown to clutch his stomach before he is taken by the Wens. So in a way, it's already there but we just aren't told how.
Is there a specific scene you're referring to? A general answer would be it all has to do with their golden core/cultivation/qi.…
During the aqua monster scene, they were flying around due to their martial arts skills and spiritual energy. When WWX was thrown in the Burial mounds he wasn't just injured, he no longer had his golden core, which is why he couldn't even try to defend himself.
The story is not bad, captivating enough, but the quality of action scenes and animations is very poor and distracting,…
I am guessing you are more used to watching kdramas and jdramas which are usually shorter in length ( though there are longer kdramas too). This is a cdrama however and cdramas usually have 40-50 episodes. Some are even longer. So it isn't really apt to say 'in comparison to other dramas on this site' as dramas from multiple countries are featured here. Also, this is an adaptation of a novel which has 113 chapters and 14 extra chapters. So no, it couldn't have been shorter because otherwise they wouldn't have been able to tell the story properly. The length is perfect. You haven't seen full drama yet, and I assume you haven't read the novel either, and yet you're saying it should have had 5 fewer episodes. What is the basis for this opinion?
Some fans also feel that the CGI and actions scenes could have been better in some places and there are other fans who disagree. It is a matter of opinion. However, I disagree that it should be distracting to the point that it's not letting you enjoy the story, unless you are not invested in the story in the first place.
Anyway, to each their own. It seems that this drama might not be your cup of tea and you prefer shorter dramas, in that case you can try something else maybe or you can continue if you want. Maybe you'll end up liking it. If you want to watch cdramas, you'll have to get used to the length.
So much has been discussed about this matter already, I don't have much else to add. So I'll just say a few things. It was never a question of ranking since these things keep changing. One just has to take a look anywhere else where dramas are being discussed, CQL is everywhere. Stories shouldn't just make you think or entertain, they should be able to reach the deepest corners of your heart and stay there. CQL did just that. So no matter what, CQL will continue to rule our hearts.
It is extremely disappointing to see what is happening. The Untamed is definitely the most loved and acclaimed drama of recent times. It's popularity worldwide speaks for itself. Anyway, a show's success or popularity isn't based on whether it's ranked no 1 here. The Untamed will continue to be no 1 in people's hearts and will be loved for years to come. Let's see if those other dramas can sustain or not.
Apologies, but I am going to write from another point of view:)I am tired of writing on this page. There has NEVER…
That's alright. The whole CGI debate can go on and on and I guess there is no point idigressing further. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this.
I don't purposely look for imperfections while watching anything. However if I do happen to spot a few things here and there, I am fine with it as long as I love the end product. The main purpose of watching dramas is to be entertained and to be able to take something from it and TU as a show has given to me aplenty.
Bottom line is, we're all here solely because we love 'The Untamed', so regardless of some varied opinions, that remains unchanged.
