XL is her senior brother in the future, so it's not weird for to want to protect him, when she even got attached to the Ye family.
Yes, it did give YBC the opportunity but things would have still gone wrong even if nothing happened to XL and grandma as explained by Jize to LSS in her dream. Their fate in this lifetime was still doomed as TTJ's fate was to suffer and nothing LSS had done could have stopped that.

The whole idea behind it was for her to hurt him in front of XL's subordinates so they would all mistrust her and she won't have anywhere else to go. It's explained when NB asks TTJ. Hmm...it's hard to describe it in the way you're asking. Technically they are together from the start. There are times when it seems they would break up but they end up getting back together. The longest breakup is at ep 28 which lasts till ep 32, but it also cannot be called a 'breakup' ( you'll understand it when you watch it).

I am not sure exactly how the yunhe chart is calculated. Knockout was also a tv drama and aired simultaneously on iq. Maybe that's the reason? Anyway, it's only second to Knockout and that drama also aired three months earlier than TTEOTM. So this is still a great achievement. Congrats !!!

If you're referring to 'it's you', then it's because he recognized LSS as his wife YXW. He also calls her 'my lady' which indicates that he recognizes her. YXW/LSS backstory in the drama is different from the novel. In the novel, YXW and LSS were 'technically' different people and did not look alike, but in the drama LSS was YXW in her past life as explained in epi 32. They most definitely looked alike because after learning the secret of her birth in epi 32, LSS says 'that's why YXW who looked exactly like me existed 500 years ago'.

But in the drama LSS and YXW do like alike and it is also explained in epi 32 that LSS was indeed YXW in her past life. Her spirit egg was damaged and Chief Qu cast her spirit in the mortal realm to go through the cycles of rebirth. Her spirit returned to the egg after her life as YXW was over. Whether he recognized GYJW or not, it is not explained. Maybe he did or maybe he did not. The drama and the novel should not be mixed up. The drama is indeed an adaptation of the novel, but it is also quite different from the novel and changed many things.

I don't think the novel explanation applies here because they already changed the part that LSS and YXW didn't look alike. They also changed YXW back story as explained in episode 32. I personally feel he recognized LSS and YXW as he calls her 'my lady' and 'it's you' implies his recognition of her.

Yes I understand all of that but that doesn't mean his pain was easy to bear. No matter the background, everyone would like to get away if their whole world came crashing down one day. No one likes to be alone and suffer in darkness.

The drama explains everything but you're not gonna get any answers with the just 3 epis and the ending clips. A lot of stuff happens between epis 4-39.

That's good to know. He had to make some difficult choices and my heart broke for him when he said he lost everyone too, but he can't afford to go crazy like TTJ because he had to take care of people as well as other things.

I love YQY and I feel he is such an underrated character. Everyone (including myself) loves PR and YQY-PR love story but I feel YQY alone does not often get the appreciation he deserves. If you think about it, his suffering was no less. He was a loyal and devoted son, brother, comrade and lover and yet he lost everyone and everything. In the blink of an eye, his whole life was turned upside down. He even gave up real name and identity. He hid behind the mask of Jing Emperor and lived in the shadows for 500 years. In the end all we saw was him dropping of his mask to protect his land and people, using up all of his energy and his hair turning white.

We’ll never know if he ever found out who his sisters really were and where they are now, whether he ever found out TTJ had lived for 500 years too and it was him who saved everyone in the end, or whether he ever met Susu and his niece in the future. We don’t know how long he has to wait to find PR again. Will they meet in this lifetime or not? YQY really deserved so much more and I wish we could have seen him find his happiness. Kudos to Geng Yeting. Despite being a relatively newbie actor, he actually did such an impressive job as the sober and sincere YQY.
