While the drama was airing, I explained it many times and that those who want a higher rating for this should rate the episodes because it helps the ratings. Many people just didn't care and they said they'll just rate it when the drama ends. If we had reached 9 or above at that time, we'd still be 8.8 or 8.9 now.

Agree with everyone else here. Moreover there is a massive amount of 1 star rating and it's always fishy when the number of 1 star is almost equal to the number of 5 star ratings especially when it comes to a popular drama. It has been happening for a while in DB, not just with this drama. So everyone knows what's up. I've read that the comments accompanying those 1 star ratings are nothing constructive either....just stuff like LYX is too thin, his makeup is too cakey...and all of that.

This is ridiculous. Lots of actors do it, especially experienced once. This is called adlib. This is a perfectly acceptable thing in any acting industry, anywhere in the world. And actors who can do it, are actually praised for it. Just a few days before the drama finished it's run, antis started this weird thing. They even called out BL as well.
I am proud of LYX, hope he stays strong coz he suffered so much at the hands of those nasty people.

You didn't say anything about cinematography in your previous comment though so that's not what I was referring too! Btw, I do know about all about kdramas that there is know as I have almost a decade long experience of watching them.

Yes, I agree that kdramas have become too western now. There isn't anything wrong with that but I personally got attracted to kdramas due to it's unique flavor, which is now kinda lost. So I mostly just watch cdramas these days.

I don't how many cdramas you've watched so far, but just keep watching and you'll find that the notion that cdrama actors are not good compared too kdrama actors is wrong. Kdramas have their share of bad acting too and there are plenty of c-ent actors who are really good. Those who say that cdrama actors cannot act just have a misconception or they just haven't watched the right dramas. People should not watch random cdramas on yt without recs, because there are all different categories of cdramas. Best to get a recommendation list from regular cdrama watchers!

Anyway, I do agree that LYX and BL are top notch!

PS: Have you not watched Ashes of Love? That drama is a milestone in LYX's career.

Please check out the discussions section. Many people have interpreted it as an open ending/ HE/ hopeful ending. TTJ might just be able to come back. But yeah, I agree that it's still very sad...coz we just don't see it and it hurts because of everything TTJ went through.

Reposting my thoughts on the ending...

I don’t think TTJ is gone forever, because I think it was only LSS who fully turned into a goddess. Even her phoenix form appeared when she transformed. TTJ became godlike but I don’t think he fully transformed into a god. So there is a chance he would still come back. LSS also promised she would say everything she wanted to say next time. He did leave his divine wisp in the shell, so he isn’t fully gone. And if he didn’t fully transform into a god, he can reincarnate.

And even if he did become god; I still don’t think he disappeared completely. Although they did say earlier they gods didn’t have souls, when LSS transformed, she did meet Chu Huang and others in another realm outside of the three realms. So there is a place like that where the gods still exists. Who is to say, TJJ won’t find a way to come back? Or LSS won’t find a way to reach that realm?

I read somewhere that it was lost in translation and what she really said was that she's a demon now. Anyway, between the three...YBC, TH and Mo Nv, she turned out to be the least evil one lol.
