i am happy that this drama ended with lee eunho and deuksu being lovey dovey and the 4 haona quartet living their life in peace. even frienship that fell apart because of circumstances can have a happy ending too! it is just that why lee eunho and deuksu hasn't gotten married yet!? deuksu had already indirectly propose to lee eunho when she gave him that half of the brass key lol. i blame lee eunho for this, that man can be so slow sometimes haha
prince muyeong's character was the most attractive point of this drama for me. his father and cousin hurt him, but they also showed that deep down they still genuinely loves him.
1.the king could've had his guard kill muyeong then and there when muyeong announced his treason in front of the ministers. but at the end, he only said "i cannot lose you too" to muyeong and stopped everything. the scene where his son said to let him leave with deuksu as the last request kept haunting the king for days after that. honestly, muyeong's father's love is what protects his life during the power struggle.
2.for the king's past sins, prince eunsong could've punished the king's entire family for treason and it would make perfect sense. the king, muyeong and even little seonyang was supposed to be killed for the sin. however, eunsong decided to spare his uncle and even let muyeong leave the palace safely. he erased muyeong's name from the record so that people won't use muyeong's identity to ever challenge the throne again. it frees muyeong completely from the palace and protects him at the same time.
if you understand the depth of love prince muyeong has for his father and cousin, it makes his father's betrayal more devastating :
1.he is willing to go in disguise into yeongcheonru without any power or info save for a drawing of the the brass key, yet he does it without hesitation because he thought that it can help his father and the royal family. 2.when he was drunk, he muttered "i miss you, father" which could be his subconscious thought all this while. 3.the trauma that caused him nightmares during childhood is his royal uncle's death. but he held in the tears because he thought that he should be strong for his cousin 4.the many times he defended the king and royal family when people speak bad things about them
to think that the same father that he missed all this while eventually admitted to treason and even has the heart to lock him up in his chamber, my heart really breaks for him. the pain that he must've felt to go against his own beloved father... :'( prince muyeong has a special place in my heart because he is so pure and selfless
prince muyeong would make such a great king. he is smart, compassionate, just and kind. he never abuse his power as a prince and thus his subordinate like beomho also genuinely cares about him. when he is in love, except for his slowness in noticing that deuksu is a woman, he always treat her well and never force her to do anything.
i hope nothing bad will happen to him even if his father was dethroned. i hope the brotherly bond between prince eunsong and prince muyeong is strong enough for him to spare his younger cousin if anything happen. prince muyeong deserves a happy ending with deuksu :')
those who ship soohyun and mijoo (pink haired girl) should watch triple fling season 2. they are the endgame there and even has kiss scene haha. it was a webdrama during their early debut days and they look more babyish so cute :')
i really enjoy every moments between prince muyeong and beom ho haha adorable and funny. its rare to see royal bodyguard who complains about the prince one sided treatment and the said prince even borrowing his money lol
in my opinion, lee eun ho definitely knew that hong deuk su is a woman. he's just acting so that no one will suspect her. he is too smart not to notice that. it's just that he might be in denial that he is starting to like her, that is why he is blaming it on protectiveness to keep the key safe haha
