Episode 7 is a weak episode. I was wanting an episode about Chen Xin and Zhang Zhun to ground the show after the intensity of last week, but it doesn't inspire confidence because it appears like a filler. They are scenes built around a romantic confession rather than the "try it and see" promise that it is. The scene with Danyi appearing out of nowhere is so awkward, and the girlfriends' conversation is too convenient a wrap up. I haven't finished the book, but if this conversation exists, it doesn't happen anywhere close to the these specific scenes. The highlight of the episode was Chen Xin's question about emotional vs. physical intimacy.
I liked when the plot ramped off at the halfway point. I wish it was longer to see some more lore on Mu Gun and Seo Ido. It's not at the level of a Western crime thriller, but it was enjoyable for me.
The couple are really handsome. I didn't expect after seeing silly screencaps (the size difference lol) that this would drama would make me emotional. It's well written but unfortunately short.
I loved the clumsiness in this series and it's absurd themes. It was entirely predictable but I enjoyed seeing the characters interact anyway. There's no big plot here, just a lot of drama and taboo in a small world.
They are socially cousins, their family sees them that way. Jeonghan respects Iljo's identity and choice not to tell the others. I don't see the point in writing semantics and emotional labor in a comment because there is no actual incest taboo in the story. Someone could just view it themselves, "ew is it really incest???" is not curiosity or interest, just banter.
Low budget and plot that bounced all around. I enjoyed the initial burst of toxicity and the OST. I liked the show overall. Though I did end up reading the webtoon which I liked more.
