btw the guy is hot.. how come haven't seen him in anything famous yet.. specially contemp. dramas/romcoms/roms
this is the first time he's performing a role like a bad and hot boy. He mostly had sweet guy roles until now. his styling is also improved a lot here which is according to the current trends. that's why he and this drama is getting so much buzz. Yu shuxin is also a really famous celeb in china which also makes this a big project
Watched first two episodes. Daniel is so handsome. I don't care about the age gap here. But I don't like the plot…
same....I was even waiting for its release until I got to know with the very 1st ep that it's ex to lovers sort of trope.....and I freaking hate that trope the most. Gonna pass this too!
the humour is so my type. It's the smart humour which is rare in dramas.....it's been a long time since I genuinely laughed like this. also, yuyu's straightforwardness in itself is a humour. I'm enjoying this in a lot of ways....i thought I would stay for the romance but every other thing is fun here. 8 eps in, and I like how they haven't centered the entire thing on romance but rather a single man in his 40s having his encounter with people he can call friends and genuinely enjoy their company, while starting to grow feelings for these people he call friends and cherish them positively, which he had been avoiding all this while. It's not just about being single, it's about a man's journey to leading a single life.
I am particularly enjoying yuyu's character, I can understand the character so much since he's a perfect blend of my past and present self, except that I didn't had that low of an EQ lol
It was quite fun to see the duo's chemistry again and our Xincheng doing some side quests. I wasn't expecting much from the plot so I wasn't disappointed, I just had a fun relaxing evening. I love the franchise so I couldn't leave this one despite it being totally not my style. I would rather say that it actually way more enjoyable than I expected it to be. The comedy is always there to heal you. I like the chemistry of the leads here too since it's a bit different from their usual style.
Loved knowing the origin of the surname "Tang". I also enjoyed learning about the chinese history, how their people suffered and quickly turned to defend themselves against exploitation. I think chinese people were quite smart to leave such exploitation soon enough since other asian countries were exploited for too long by white people. It's a surprise to know that what U.S. has now is all because of chinese labour. Such amazing infrastructure!!
Just watch it if you love the franchise and have nothing good enough to watch. Don't expect too much from the plot. It's good but it's nothing too unique. And if you are not a franchise-fan, you better skip it and watch something much more unique out there.
I've been crying and begging for a whole year for my fav ones to release and they decided to do it now 😠I have a very important exam in 1 month, and I can't waste my golden time. This is so cruel. I waited whole year and didn't watch many dramas for studies just so I could watch the one I like. And NOW they are are releasing itðŸ«
what was the ending if you don’t mind elaborating
Yeah honestly both have a chemistry but her and cha juhan has some amazing interactions although not too romantic but like light fresh youth romance type. Honestly I even thought she would end up with him considering how they executed the story. Like they could easily make her end up with either of them yet they didn't..... Is what disappointed the most in the comments section
