And I'll be honest with you....
I don't remember if it was until ep 6 or ep 8 that the introductory part lasted but after those first few eps, they start to uncover her past traumas and incidents and at the same time they show the lovely moments between the leads related to the incidents. The moment the sleepwalking plot begins, it gets insanely fun. I think you should give this a 2nd chance for sure. I was really going to drop this one soon back then but I sticked and then it got so so much better that now it's my fav among all the currently airing dramas.
Also, tbh the 2nd lead couple is very boring. You can just watch their story on fast forward. But the leads story is something not to be missed. I assure you, you will love it just stick to it for a while and don't stress over it. Just watch freely.
I personally watched those starting few eps at 1.25 / 1.5 speed, and it was a good decision and less suffering. I suggest you to do that. ( I'm fast with reading subtitles and face expressions so I opted for it but its your choice) But this drama is a gem enough not to be dropped off. It got something to keep you entertained for good. I'm a person who easily gets bored and also drops things easily if it's not my style. And my life is chaotic enough that I don't wanna watch more trauma and suffering like this. So if you are similar to me, I personally suggest you to give it a 2nd chance.

I've never convinced someone for a drama like this before so you can understand how much I am enjoying it. Also, to clarify, I'm not a person who has any attachment to the popularity of THE FIRST FROST. So I'm only saying all these things on the basis of my emotions while watching the drama until now.

I really thought less of sang yan before....now that I'm watching the first frost drama version I like his character.
He is not making yifan chase him out of ego or anything, he's actually afraid that if he holds her hand before she extends it out, he will lose her again and if someday she will leave him again, he will have to live painfully again

watch beyond ep 6 you will know why people are liking it so much. I agree that the rating when ep1-6 aired was also around 8.5 was a bit too much. bcuz the first few eps were indeed a bit boring and hard to watch. but now, its indeed a joy ride. Rest is your personal preference so I won't interfere more

All the couples are so adorable. I'm glad they didn't wasted the star studded cast
