me too lol....it's kinda boring and unappealing. I don't mind the grandparents talk and all but their story is just not much. It's like they are pushing to create a story for them but they are out of wits for it

Just an out of context thing: I rarely speak anything whenever I get startled or scared. I express my emotions through my face expressions and body language. That's my natural reaction. This is the first time, I actually let out an "ah". I couldn't stop laughing at myself after that.

I think he's aware that yifan likes him a bit too. What he's not aware is the intensity of her liking towards him. Like he knows it when she gets shy or blushes as to why she does that's why he tease her more. He just want to indulge her to grow feelings for him.
When in reality yifan likes him a lot. She herself shows through her actions that she likes him a lot but through words she never admits to herself or to him about her real feelings

No you don't need to! Both the stories may have interrelated characters but both the stories are independent. It wouldn't make much difference. And honestly, it's better to watch this as an independent drama.
Also, this is not a spin off. It's a parent story of hidden love. Which in itself means, it's a full fledged independent story.
The author who wrote both the stories has created them independently as 2 different novels

Also, you would notice that yifan expresses her emotions the most when she's with sang yan. The rest of the time she's either almost like a robot or she fake smiles it. this is also the reason that their old friend who had a crush on her said that she always only says....its good, ok, yeah, etc
Her genuine and considerable emotions are only let out in front of sang yan.

I really don't like the new intern. He's too pushy. Those are the type of guys who just don't understand a NO. Everything until now was still bearable but intruding her house and not listening to her was a bit too much.

This is also the reason I find sang yan really super nice bcuz he understands consent and despite being close to FL, he never oversteps.
