I love the webtoon but the webtoon has weird plot holes and the drama flesh out the character, make the character more believable and the plot more streamlines

the webnovel write the plot sequence differently while the webtoon shortcut many revelation.
The reason I disagree on the good job or bad job is the drama hasn't ended and there will be more revelation accordingly like in the webnovel simply because their story hasn't ended while the webtoon has ended.
You already feel satisfied since the webtoon is available at all chapter but if you count that each webtoon chapter is one week, that's way more unsatisfying by weekly than this drama.

the webtoon also written as short and fast adaption which is why many things are entirely scrapped off like jihyuk backstory+oh yura. Therefore, the comparison is not balance as you already got everything from the webtoon yet still has 4 hours more in the drama.

I actually like EP 12,
it's a much needed closure for the supposedly "perfect" character.
Also I don't mind the crazy ex-fiancee. Even emotional wise, I want to see jiwon stand up outside of people she knows from the past to see how much she is grown.
So far, she is ahead because she came from the future but meeting the unknown and solve it will make her more grounded and stable like a land.
The reason she changes is because she has been operating under the assumption that she knows it all, she knows the future but this time, an unknown future comes to her like all of us,
she needs to learn how to live in the present, rather than the past (flashback), the forgotten future (her memory) or her idea that she knew what gonna happen.

EP 12 is fine, it's good when talking about plot point and story progression, dragging the minhwan and soomin story will make the story stretched too much.
They start talking about jihyuk character, they also develop his backstory, manager kang story also getting boost and it feels like a logical step to wrap the story.
it's the a good pace because jihyuk conflict makes jiwon goes deep into her heart and give her time to address the issue with her mother and her other trauma.

I think emotion wise, viewer will feel that the heroine deserve a break because yura is such a hated character.
On the other hand, if this episode has nothing breaking out, the viewer will also complain that the story got draggy.
If you look at what happened in ep 12, it's really good at dwelling deep into the character emotion and also established that it's okay to hate yura, she is there for the plot and to have all the necessary piece to move and get resolved.

Imo I like that she said she is confused and I think the mvp is heeyon to provide more context on yura. Jihyuk said all the right things too, he has ended the relationship and there were never feeling in this relationship for him. As someone who sees love changes, jihyuk logic about marry without love has some basis, after all, his parents stay together without the "love"

the drama don't follow the webtoon cause the webtoon don't follow the webnovel, the drama more closely resemble the novel,
I don't mean to cheer for the bully, what I mean is they know they were wrong, they try to contact jiwon, they show to jiwon that they get the message but jiwon want to move on.
The development is about how they actually changes, soomin doesn't changes and don't accept any explanation, this bullies, they don't do the same things anymore, they don't even dress like that, they do it specifically for soomin's wedding when they aren't getting invitation despite being with her for years and defended soomin.
Why can't they have grudge to soomin when soomin has been manipulated them for years? just because they express it differently than jiwon doesn't mean they are less deserve to have bone to pick?
They didn't bully people based on rumor or innocent people anymore.
It's like normal people can't be appreciated for some realisation they did when they are older and has to be punished for the things they did years ago.
You don't have to cheer them but why go so far to not acknowledge that their character has development in the story?

what I mean by development is they actually listen and try to contact jiwon with going to eunho but jiwon refuse, jiwon had move on,
the wedding scenes is meant to fulfill their and jiwon idea that soomin can't get away for what she did.
I don't consider going to soomin wedding as the same bullying they did to jiwon, it's malicious but it's one time and they didn't contact her again.

I like all the relationship happen in EP 12, it has angst but the character say that they are confused, angry, being possessive and their agreement / disagreement on something.
The highlight is definitely how infidelity ruins relationship, not just between spouses but with their children.
How it's not a white and black situation where you know your parents love someone else and you stop loving them and vice versa.
How you see your sibling born from different "love"
It's complicated and it feels real that the character actually confused.
Our heroine, despite the downturn actually on a winning streak and this time, she actually given time to rest and the plot imo also give her time to sort out her unfinished relationship, the one she is afraid to face.
Also I think you can end relationship unilaterally, it can be unfair for the other person but you can't force feelings that aren't there. Even one sided divorce is permitted under certain condition, what needed is to inform the other party.

in EP 12, I actually like how minhwan thought that they just need to move on with their life,

Also they've been asking eunho to meet with jiwon but he didn't, remember on the restaurant, they asked eunho to set up a meeting with jiwon. They feel guilty and want to say sorry. Also, jiwon had said that things don't change, jiwon had not forgive them and will not but they want to show that they are sorry, that's the development. When people know exactly about their wrong and want to do something to give back, that's the development.

The high school narrative is "Jiwon the nerd bully the weak Soomin because Soomin is prettier".
They weren't written as the one who stomped the weak, they were written as protective for the weak but their methods is wrong.

It feels good that the high school bully gets like character development off screen but also on screen, this isn't to minimalized the impact but they did feel grow up despite being similar with their old self.
People do changes, one way or another, recognizing their flaw and also rectifying their mistake. This drama shows that other people also have their own redemption, some things can happen later like the whole friend realization but another things to consider is people don't know if you don't talk about it. In eunho case, he doesn't mind clarifying anything but he doesn't get the chances and he doesn't know that he needs to.

in ep 1 , we see that jiwon was scolded by the mother in law to get treated and told her not to tell the HR/company so jiwon case is severe because she recognised it late and also start treatment very very late.
in Yang Ju ran case, the HR has found out

iirc in the webtoon, jiwon gave her a big money present, personally to soomin so soomin can feel more at ease after unemployed and can have her own agency

I feel bad because the mother in law is insufferable but then I got reminded of how soomin for all their friendship treats jiwon badly and then don't think about it, jiwon did nothing to soomin yet she just used her.

Also, the feels bad also come because soomin story / jiwon past story with mil is quite commom, it's like soomin realised she got a bad deal but can't pull over or she lets herself drowning in a swamp, more in the spoiler

I like that ep 11 feels like a breeze and ep 12 preview comes straight with problem,
the plot really work hard
