I think of it like "if death is inevitable, all the justice we seen happened will happen, just in different order".…
you can be wrong, especially the part when you don't realised the script itself has shown its card since episode 1
what you feel isn't always right, it's perspective but also there is truth and feeling,
I gave you logical explanation based on the actual plot and your feeling won't accept it

till ep 7 the mc really want to end it quick, but last episode about mom delete everything that happen.im not…
I think you forgot the lines in the drama,
it's clear that in episode 1, yii jae doesn't want to live and at the end he wants to be alive,
that just one changes, we literally see how yii jae perspective on his life changes, how his confidence grow to face the world, how he realised people care for her and hurt by him. Your comment feels like you didn't even watch episode 1 nor 8 properly

So is the ending like happy or is it sad? Or is it neither
I think it's happy and other think it's unsatisfying,
like when you see glass half empty, some people think it hasn't been filled while other think it has already been drank. It matter of perspective,
it's a very hopeful drama imo while other may disagree.
To the show credit, I think the ending was hinted and even explained right from the very first episode.

yes, because the show isn't really about the life/plot of the character he possessed, that's why some character has short arc.
It's about yiijae's life and his understanding of life, we are following yiijae gradual changes not the other people's life,
I think ep 8 asked yiijae and the viewer the same question, "does yiijae knows who he is"
he was never the character he possessed, he was always himself and this story related to him.

I think of it like "if death is inevitable, all the justice we seen happened will happen, just in different order".…
frankly said, the un-satisfaction comes from wrong assumption since even in the first episode, you can see that the end goal is either,
- he went back in time to start his life again
- he accepted his death and punishment, go to the afterlife and meet god

it even explained like game, that someone he possessed die before saving his game play, this explanation including him because he also died,
even in episode when he becomes the high school kid who were going to jump off the building, he comes to his life before it happened so the kid didn't jump,
his life can also be like that based on this rule, he can actually come back to his game play again and death can make it happen.
As a viewer, this isn't the show fault nor the plot hole for the mechanism or even intended to feels dissatisfactory.
It even feel more satisfying to know that with limited borrowed time and chased by the actual death, yii jae manage to stop the evil and changes people's life, he can do much better with the time he has right now and just like him and death, we aren't supposed to look for death or know the ending of someone's life.

It's like glass half full or half empty, you see it and thought someone must have drink it and forget that the show tell you that it will only fill half of the glass at the time you see it.

I don't think there is season 3, season 1 and 2 is actually the same season/story,

there is no future season, it meant to end up like the beginning, season 1 and 2 is actually the same season/story,

it's not a plot hole when the time re-start again, it's been told as rule since the beginning that he can live again.

Title Death's Game Part 2 Spoiler
So if he is sent back for another chance..... Does that mean the killers are alive again as well? If so, what…
I think of it like
"if death is inevitable, all the justice we seen happened will happen, just in different order". He re-start his life with different perspective and in this timeline, all that we've seen may have different result but justice will catch up at the end and death is not in mortal's hand.

Like I can see how the story is polarizing when you put the whole world view as positive negative and a zero sum game but just like the dad who avenge the unfair death of his daughter, there will be karma that catch up to the serial killer. Just like how Park Tae Woo will buy Jung Gyu Chul's painting before Yii Jae took over, there will be crossover between them. Most of the stuff happened outside of Yii Jae control and the ending want to show that yii jae can wait for death to come and living with guilt like the bully in prison, tae woo vegetative state, gyu chul died by his own illness, it's all will catch up to them since the judgment was on different place.

Death, karma and judgment are different things in this world and death is the point in this story. We've experience that even if yii jae died, those people get their karma, now that yii jae is alive, it show a more positive outcome than when he died.

Talk about the gf, will she died had they don't walk together that day?
the reason they were there at that specific time is because yii jae monologues, had he didn't , the gf will still alive since death was lurking around yii jae at the time.

The killers are alive but the people they haven't kill also alive and our protagonist has stopped them before, even when he is chased by death.
Now, in the present, he didn't chased by death anymore and he believe on opportunity to changes people life.
Even death said that death will find you at the end but you have the chance to changes it like how yii jae changes all the destiny of the 12 lives. Therefore all that happen before was the worst possible outcome since it still happened despite his death.

Yi-Jae makes some good points in the ending that I think it’s important to take from to understand that the…
yeah, I don't know why the comment emphasize so much on how other people's live or crime and humanity like yii jae lives didn't matter.

It's lowkey saying that it's okay for Yii Jae to keep feel like a failure as long as other people get their karma, forgetting that even if the soul was Yii Jae, all the different people had accumulated skill and memory to executed this justice at the right time. It's not one things that makes it happen, it's the collaborative from different skill, different people and also yii jae memories.

Now that yii jae has another chance, confidence and new perspective, what's we've watch is probably the worst possible scenario since it all happened after yii jae is no longer here and happened while he is chased by death.

Gotta admit I didn't like the end very much. That means a psychopath serial killer is going to get away. I guess…
Idk if he will save ji soo because if he didn't die, will ji soo be walking with the model that night? Will that model strike a conversation with ji soo, will they stop at that specific time, the butterfly effect of him not dying already changes so much.

So, the logical answer is that all we see happened in 12 episode can changes for the better, like how he answered the call, many things hasn't happened yet.
If we include the start of the journey is the plane death, then that hasn't happened, including many of the murder.
I think the ending is telling us that we don't know the future, even after experiencing many death, the main character realised that the chance to keep living is the one that can change the outcome for the better.

honestly I don't like the end, doesn't it mean that all he did as other lives are undone and the villain will…
When you think about it, had yii jae didn't kill himself and not knowing about this villainy, will it stop? Will all the bad in the world suddenly didn't happen?
Also after yii jae death, didn't all those things still happen? the one who uncover it is not actually yii jae, it's the collaboration of yii jae and the original memory of the body, yii jae didn't do anything as himself, it was not him who has all the information, it's other people.

All he did in the 12 lives didn't actually saved anyone that supposed to die, it's that death was never part of the equation,
everyone that he possessed was destined to die in one way or another but changing the way you died and postpone it is actually possible like what he did to their life.
The policeman died later and was a hero, the mother didn't die until old age.

It shows that as long as you are alive, the chances to keep being alive is there.
The brother rivalry was not started by yii jae, all this different live/people makes their choice and they will get their punishment even when yii jae died, now that yii jae is alive, the ending now will be better than then 12 lives before.

In my opinion, it's not a bad adaptation, but it's not that great either. But still better than the manhwa. They…
I disagree that they made almost a new story, they stick to the web novel and the webtoon but arrange in a slight different way, all the point and the event unfolded almost the same way with the webtoon and web novel.
also they changes the timeline from 2019-2009 to 2023-2013 to make sure the adaption work well with the current events, which is why some event that related to real life didn't happen like in the webtoon.
The overall story is almost exactly the same

I like the webtoon but I think the drama makes it their own, it's a great adaptation and it expanded the webtoons story.
lo_ve Jan 24, 2024
I feel so conflicted because I don't think they should follow the webtoon panels to make it work but it's hard to make it has the same feels.
Movies, webnovel, webtoon has different ways to convey their story, info dump can work in webtoon and webnovel but not in movies, the same with visual imagery.
The cast also worry me cause I want this to be good as the original story is intriguing and this will bring new people to the story.

Title Marry My Husband Spoiler
It feels satisfying watching this drama, ep 8 has all the heart, has all the gears turn on and I couldn't wait…
as example, after the fountain confrontation, had soo min actually reflect on herself, she can take the criticism better but no, she is too self centered to do that.
another chance is when minhwan said to soomin that he still will marry ji won, run girl, you know what this mean.
Also minhwan can actually stop the cheating but he also full on himself and his ego.
It does makes you feel a little lighter that this antagonist did have chance to change but they still choose the wrong choices.
