IIUC, Yang Chao Yue is the real Jiang Li, daughter of Grand Secretariat Jiang. Jiang Li (Yang Chao Yue) saves Xue Fang Fei (Wu Jin Yan). Jiang Li (YCY) is beaten to death by the headmistress of Zhennv Hall. Xue Fang Fei (WJY) takes Jiang Li’s identity so she can take revenge on Shen Yu Rong. So after the real Jiang Li (YCY) dies, Xue Fang Fei (WJY) impersonates Jiang Li, becoming the fake Jiang Li throughout the drama. Xue Fang Fei/Fake Jiang Li (WJY) decides to also take revenge on those who harmed the real Jiang Li. Hope this help clarify for you.
Yes, correct. I think this scene was cut…at least in the versions I saw on Netflix and Viki (and after watching the drama a couple of times 😅). Judging from the red dress XFF is wearing, it seems to match the time in the last episode where she is running in a dark hallway and then we see her (alone 😢) looking out of the duke’s mansion at the tree, while snow is falling. In this picture, Duke Su looks to be wearing the clothes he had on while XFF was imagining him combing her hair, but she was wearing a white night gown at that time. Why do Duke Su and XFF still haunt me? 🪭🌹
