Given how hard everyone has worked for this, a lot of wuxia fans are excited! I'm looking forward to the action…
Yay! Glad to hear it is doing well! For me personally, I liked the action scenes although sometimes it was so close-up I couldn’t appreciate the choreography. The actors were wonderful and it was nice to have some comedic moments peppered throughout. I’m glad I got to see on imax as well!

Yes! I was wondering if it will air in the US! Thanks for the heads up! I’m looking forward to seeing some badass women doing some cool fight scenes! I’m so stoked!
Whoa, that trailer is 🔥 with all the cool, well-choreographed fight scenes…similar to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon! I can’t wait to see it! Thanks for the article! I would otherwise have not known this movie was coming!
Quick summary of this article published yesterday (22 January) about "Blades of The Guardians":https://news.qq.com/rain/a/20260122A05PPP00Several…
Thanks!! Yuen Woo-Ping was the martial arts director for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?! Some of the best martial arts fighting I’ve seen, especially that long duel between Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Zi Yi! Love that they filmed it where you can actually see all the moves and not just bits and pieces, like I’ve seen in more recent films. I saw the trailer (multiple times!) and was blown away. I can’t wait to see it!! I hope it does not disappoint!
Do I need to watch Princess Agents to watch Rebirth ?
I think it might help to watch Princess Agents to get some background context, but I don’t think it is required per se. I think good dramas should be able to stand on their own and sometimes it’s good to approach it with no expectations. For the record, I did see Princess Agents (loved it) and though I was really looking forward to a sequel after I had watched it for the first time, I’m not expecting this drama as the sequel I had anticipated previously. Meaning, I don’t have expectations that it will follow Princess Agents style and therefore am not expecting the same actors to reprise their roles, etc. But I’m very much looking forward to seeing this as its own drama with new actors, new style, and perspective.
I actually loved this drama, it's very well-written and thought provoking. A lot of people seem to have an issue…
Nicely said! I also loved this drama. I love that she was not the typical FL, valuing her worth and freedom. The actress portrayed it so well…how she was so independent, bright, passionate, and lively as a palace maid and how being a concubine slowly drained her of that. Though she loved him dearly, she was losing herself in the process of being his concubine and that’s such a hard thing to bear if being a free spirit is who she really is. So heartbreaking…
But one thing I must mention is that I pity Deok Im. To me, she may have loved the king, but she never wanted…
I don’t recall her brother getting executed. I think her father was executed, the mother couldn’t handle it so she committed suicide, leaving her and her brother. Her brother begged Princess Sado’s wife (Jeong Jo’s mom) to take his sister (Deok Im) as a servant and palace maid. Her brother then became a Miliary man, like their father. But I agree with you, I also don’t think she wanted to become a concubine.
