Thanks for posting! I love the deepness of his voice. I hope he can dub his own voice in future dramas. I did…
Oh weird. I found it here on the main page: https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Moonlit_Reunion. If you scroll down to section “Others” look for Liu Dong Qin and it will show Xu Kai with a link. When you tap on the Xu Kai link, it should show a list of his works. That’s him right? Or is it another Xu Kai that just does voice dubbing? 😓😅
Here is an interview done by xukai with english sub for moonlit reunion ^^https://youtu.be/b7fTbNYQcFM?feature=shared
Thanks for posting! I love the deepness of his voice. I hope he can dub his own voice in future dramas. I did not know he dubbed the voice for Xiao Hou Ye (Little Marquis) in this drama (https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Xu_Kai_(voice_actor))! I’ll need to find the scenes with Xiao Hou Ye!
Thank you. Also, Changxi Palace was booted out of Chang'an due to what demons did but they didn't allowed to have…
Yeah, totally understand that. I think the difference though is that giving up Changxi Palace doesn’t mean he’s giving up on his mission, whereas Wu Zhen giving up the Demon Market means she’s allowing innocent demons to be at the hands of the Celestial Masters who are bent on eradicating all demons. What I love about this drama is that there are gray areas being explored for both Wu Zhen and Zhu Yu and they are making mistakes like real people might, given the evidence they’ve accumulated over their lifetime which may be unconsciously biased. Thank you for your perspective. I think it’s always good to understand other people’s perspectives so we can all keep learning and growing. I love both characters and the fact that they can be their own person and what draws them to each other is their genuine, mutual respect and admiration for each other. I’m so enjoying this drama!!
I think you answered yourself but missed it all that same 😄 The guilt is important because it signals character…
Bingo. His whole mission in life was to avenge his parents and eradicate the Demon World. He only just realized that there are good and bad demons, like the human world. So he felt guilty for not realizing good demons exist…including his own wife!
Thank you. Also, Changxi Palace was booted out of Chang'an due to what demons did but they didn't allowed to have…
I think the point is, the demons have been hiding there as a safe haven because they are being persecuted despite being good demons. Does there need to be a Demon World if humans and demons could get along? Why must they exist in different worlds? Just because they have their own world where they can exist with rights doesn’t mean they’ve been having it better than the humans. It just means they can live in a safe place without being harmed by humans. At least this is how I understand it. I have not read the book, so don’t know the history behind the animosity between Changxi Palace and the Demon World.
Honestly I was disappointed with WZ's action and reaction at the barrier breaking scene. She should have the hesitation…
I think i can understand. Looking at it from Wu Zhen’s perspective, the demons in the Demon World have been trying to live peacefully and yes, there are some demons that escape and do harm, but that’s no different from humans. The Celestial Masters broke into the underworld by harming and forcing a good demon to help them enter. They were going into the Demon World to eradicate all demons regardless of whether the demons were good or bad. As the Cat Lord, it is Wu Zhen’s duty to protect the innocent demons from being harmed. When Zhu Yu tried to enter the Demon World, whether it is to help his brothers or to also destroy the Demon World that he thought killed his parents, Wu Zhen’s duty as Cat Lord is to stop him. IMO, Zhu Yu hesitated because he didn’t know if the demons were really going to kill his brothers or if the demons were like Wu Zhen and Hu Zhu and wouldn’t harm his brothers, in which case, his brothers would definitely harm the good demons. So in his mind, either way he had no choice but to enter. I can totally empathize w/ her sermon. The demons have long been persecuted by the humans regardless of whether they are good or bad. Humans haven’t even tried to learn more about them and understand them. If random strangers suddenly barged into my house claiming my kind is evil and I and my family should die, I sure as heck would be very angry and probably wouldn’t even give these strangers a sermon. But that’s just me. I guess it depends on who you empathize with more and that’s different for everyone.
Damn did the rating just jump to 7.9? Is this the rise we've all been waiting for?
Maybe it’s all the people who were previously asking when it will be available on Disney? Maybe they are enjoying the drama now that it’s available! Glad to see it is going up!
Beginning of ep 20 super close ups. Xu Kai’s micro-expressions are seriously impressive. The closer the camera…
💯 agree! I still remember the first time I saw him in Ancient Love Poetry. The scene where they are on the heavenly platform and Wu Huan was torturing Shang Gu…his facial expressions were just heart-wrenching…the feeling of pain, helplessness, anger, seeing his beloved tortured, but forcing himself to hold back from saving her for a greater purpose. I’ve been following his dramas ever since. He’s a great actor!
Chief Huang Yi: Young master Mei had such a cold expression and a piercing glare. And his eyes were murderous,…
Yet another scene I loved!! MZY was a stone cold hunter, toying with his prey (the blind date) then shooting him down by giving him wicked advice. LOL, don’t mess with my woman! 🤣 And how he deftly handled Chief Huang Yi so he doesn’t have time to set up blind dates for WZ in the future! 🤣
"I would never put you in a difficult position. So I never dared to speak my heart. I regret it so much, back…
I loved this scene. XK again delivers. So much emotion…regret, longing, determination (to save her), calm acceptance (willing to sacrifice himself for her)…the closeups of their faces, the closeness of their bodies, the intimacy… TXW also had me in tears…how she was calling out to him…that he finally admits his true feelings for her only for him to slip away soon after…
