Yes! I was thinking this as well. I think the village is the experiment gone wrong where they all became mad people like General Huo. They were the live guinea pigs. It’s funny Tong Shuang calls Qing Zhou “Madman”. Maybe there’s something to that. Maybe he’s a Haiya orphan too…

Oh interesting. I thought Chief Fang’s reaction to Bei Ming’s account of all the details he knows about Yesha was quite strange. I also wondered if Chief Fang was at the massacre. And now that you point out they all adopted a Haiya orphans, it does make sense. I also wondered about Chief Zhuge and if he was also part of the massacre. He seems to share a type of bond or special relationship with Chief Fang. Or at least I feel like when they interact they are like old friends at heart. I was also drawn to the painting… When they showed clips of the massacre it showed the people acting crazy and demonic and wondered if the village was being experimented on with the red crystal and they went crazy like General Huo. The massacre was to get rid of evidence of the people being experimented on. I’m beginning to think maybe Yesha is not a bad person, just someone who wants to shed light on the atrocities that happened and bring justice to the people. Then again, Yesha’s means don’t seem that ethical even if they think the end justifies the means (Tailor and Holy Master). I need to re-watch the beginning episodes again…😅
I'm in ep 23. Why is Huo Dai Rong in all these meetings and proceedings about the criminal investigation/trial?…
She wants to know more about Haiya because they helped uncover she’s one of the Haiya orphans, hence some shared goal there in unearthing more info about the massacre occurred in Haiya. They also welcomed her into their family because not only has she lost her family, recently, but because she did contribute to their investigations and has proven herself to be intelligent and of value to their cause. And they do ask her for help because she’s great at disguise and has helped out Brute and Madman when they got into a bind that one time.

Well, i was thinking the 3 years Bei Ming disappeared, he learned the truth and actually became Yesha. He orchestrated everything in advance, but he didn’t plan for Tailor and the Holy Master going rogue. I think he purposefully lost his memory after planning all of these so he can go back and infiltrate the constabulary convincingly and then use his investigative skills to expose the Emperor and what happened at Haiya. I don’t think he was involved in the initial murders on the boat as that Yesha probably died on the boat, but before he was knocked out he was told the whole story of Haiya which led to him being missing for 3 years to carefully orchestrate everything. This is a stretch, I know…i have a wild imagination. But i like how everything has been a mystery up to this point and keeps us guessing! Anyways, it’s fun to just explore possibilities no matter how crazy. 🤪 Nice trading theories with you! I sure hope it’s not Tong Shuang…I’ve really taken a liking to him even though he can be rash at times!

I still think it is Bei Ming…😅 He said the Holy Master is the executor and the Holy Master did go off and do his own crazy things like Tailor. But the voice and hands I saw in earlier episodes where Yesha is hooded in black…I swear it looks like Bei Ming. I’m hoping I’m wrong but what twist that would be…unless he has a twin…one went to the Haiya team and the other to the Qi team. But i think that’s the easy way out. It would be more interesting if it was Bei Ming.

Yes! It has me suspecting everyone…except the main cast… lol 🤣😅 and yet…there’s this feeling i have that i can’t shake off…that i can’t rule out the main cast…😓
Guys, recommend me a good historical drama, preferably one similar to this one. I want to watch it while waiting…
Love Like the Galaxy. The ML is a fierce general, but the FL is not…though she is one smart cookie that’s like an engineer (builds things herself) and is confident in who she is by challenging the norms. —> oops, nevermind, i just saw your list and you’ve seen it already 😅

Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant in your earlier post. Chu Zhao will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, whereas Xiao Jue won’t. Xiao Jue brings justice to the women, while also achieving his goals. Yes from the quotes he seems to prioritize one over the other, but Chu Zhao, as I understand him, won’t bother to bring justice to the women, but will take advantage of it to get the ledger. Hence, that’s why I think they are not cut from the same cloth. He Yan is concerned about getting justice and giving peace to the murdered women.
Xiao Jue and Chu Zhao seems cut from the same cloth as seen in ep. 10 upon discovering the women's bodies. The…
Xiao Jue cares about the people, men and women. He said he didn’t want to deal with it at that moment (He Yan demanded action right away) because he had a plan to deal with it later. He Yan understood that when she saw Fei Nu getting details of the missing women. Xiao Jue and Chu Zhao are definitely not cut from the same cloth.
