I honestly didn't even notice the stunt double? I guess I wasn't paying enough attention, I've definitely seen…
It was in Ep 3 when he's fighting, and the stunt man jumps or flips his hair which is longer than the ML's. That being said, hopefully the talks dies down b/c people were calling LJH out, and saying he doesn't deserve his $100,000 per episode pay for it which is just ridiculous.
I knew it, this will have less eps bcz it is netflix original. Also I check the writer of this drama and she also…
She wrote Angel Eyes which some people really adore. If you look at the writer of My Mister, she did Another Oh Hae Young before that, so who would've known she would've written a masterpiece after? Also, Netflix allows complete and utter creative control to the writers. So, hopefully the writer(s) finesse their chops for this show. Also the director has directed a lot of good heartwarming stories, so this show seems to be in good hands.
This current case is really getting me! I feel so bad for Go Eun, it's honestly heartbreaking. I hope that bastard…
Right? I like Esom, her and LJH could've really sparkling chemistry together. The fact that they don't is such a travesty. UGH?! As for Go Eun (In the manhwa), her character has an one sided crush on our ML, but nothing more comes from that. As for Do Gi, he only sees her as a confident/a friend more than romantic interest. Plus, romance isn't even a genre here, let alone where would it even fit in this story? It seems the PD shot up to Ep 14 rn, so 2 more to go, so people won't be able to try to get a romance (as they're wrapping up soon).
Yup. Her and Do ki are the main characters there. Ha Na is not in webtoon.
I heard that the original webtoon is way more violent/grimmer. Like things get really awful/crazy. Perhaps, if OCN or Netflix took this on, it would've been more violent/scarier?
“The fault largely lies on the directing. Although Lee Jehoon said he’ll also do the dangerous scenes himself, from a director’s perspective, I can’t ask him to do super dangerous scenes.”
“There were a few instances where an accident almost happened while filming car action scenes. Lee Jehoon’s full scale action scenes will be shown on episode 7 and 8, I hope the viewers will like it.”
“At the beginning, stories that will be finished in 2 episodes in order to match viewer’s needs comes out. Starting from the 2nd half, stories leading to the main plot will unfold.”
“In #TaxiDriver, the existence of Rainbow Taxi Company itself is the main source of conflict. Whether or not the act of personal revenge they do in other’s stead is the right thing, whether a revenge is an act that can be brought to completion; it’s the main theme of the drama.”
“The governmental authority can also be seen as a public revenge in a way, but there remains a question of whether or not a public revenge is something that is perfect in the eyes of the victims.”
“However, if you look at the remaining filming slots, there are a lot of action scenes left so I’m worried that the actors/actresses and the staffs might get hurt. Episodes 8 and 14 are (filled with) action scenes throughout.”
He's getting that fat checks as well as the wide spread acclaim!! This is his first drama as the actual main that…
Of course Signal is legendary!! Altho most attribute the success of that show to the writer Kim Eun Hee and Choi Jin Woong. And many people associate LJH with Signal the most, and an article even said they were worried he was going to get type-cast/overshadowed by this role. But finally, it seems Taxi Driver is giving him that Signal like drama, as in making people view/see his talents again in a big way!!
If this is anything close to what Departures or Six Feet Under is, then yeah this is going to be a true masterpiece.…
Yeah that's what I appreciate about Netflix, they aren't prone to censorship, so you can actually see some of the more accurate depictions. Granted for their K-dramas, its mostly been romance, but lately with Kingdom, Extracurricular, and now Move to Heaven, I like the direction they're going which is more varied. Oh same, I wonder if it'll peak now and end up becoming a niche in the future? I just feel like there's so many pies wanting a piece, Disney+ as well as other big companies want to make them. I for one thought when Dramafever shut down, that it might signal the end of K-drama popularity but in fact since 18', its grown to be more popular since :O
Yes, Netflix in one year (500 Million!) WOAH!! It's also b/c many now realize what Netflix has been doing is getting more of the Asian viewership. I just think the one thing missing from K-dramas globally is something like a Parasite, getting them international acclaim too and big awards. I think Pachinko (Apple+ : Another one, rme), is going to be their best bet comes awards/internationally. That show also has a rumored budget of 100 million +.
I think the positive is we get to see more diversified content, and more interesting visions come to make their content w/o much censorship (well for the most part, dunno how Disney+will fare, unless Hulu signs on to). Plus, I like seeing some of my Korean favs get their rightful acknowledgment, and possible international offers as well.
Aww, 10 episodes :( But that means that the story is more compact and meaningful. So no room for error. Imo, Netflix…
I love actors that attract me first with their acting not their faces :) As in LJH's case, I became a fan because of his acting/works first.I like actor faces where the more you see them, the more attractive they get. He's not that tall, and yes he's an attractive man, but its the type of face that gets more interesting and attractive, the more he acts and the more you spend time with him lol. I don't really care for physiques per say, b/c every actor has to be fit some what lol, but it doesn't hurt ;) You and me sis!! Whoever is the lucky partner he ends up with, good on them :D
Aww, 10 episodes :( But that means that the story is more compact and meaningful. So no room for error. Imo, Netflix…
Oh my, cackles. Well, I wouldn't be shocked. But that'll mean shirtless scenes, and I don't know if I'm prepared for that :D All due respect, I saw an Instagram pic of him during this shooting, and uhm someone's been working out a lot :D I usually don't care for actors physiques lol, but gotta give props where its due, congrats to LJH for his body lol! Perhaps, he'll show off his hard work teehee ;)
If this is anything close to what Departures or Six Feet Under is, then yeah this is going to be a true masterpiece.…
Gah, ikr? We are well fed teehee :D Just hoping b/c this is Netflix original (Say what you want, Netflix allows free creative control and use to their writers. In Korea, PDs have more power but in Netflix, the writers do. Kim Eun Hee said that), and pre-produced that this'll be in the upmost best quality possible.
Aww, 10 episodes :( But that means that the story is more compact and meaningful. So no room for error. Imo, Netflix…
Yeah. I assume some of it is violence, and possibly sensitive content? Regarding mental health/illness perhaps? And of course, diving deeper into themes of death and morality? I hope so, pleasantly surprise that it's 18+, which means it hopefully won't skimp out on going there, and it takes storytelling risks.
Honestly, I'm just amazed and in awe of LJH's works as he continues to grow as an actor and also person. Really cool to see him in 2 shows this year, as he seldom does dramas. I feel like this year has made me realize his talents and charm again, so one of the few good things in this pandemic :D
Oh wow so both of Lee Je Hoon's dramas will be airing at the same time
Its reminiscent of Ju Ji Hoon's year, last year! When he had Hyena and Kingdom S2 airing around the same time. And we all know how well that went considering Hyena and Kingdom S2 did extremely well, so this bodes well for LJH!!!
The info here is wrong, although I really wished it would have 16 episodes haha. But I just checked official sources…
Aww, 10 episodes :( But that means that the story is more compact and meaningful. So no room for error. Imo, Netflix productions tend to be higher quality (both cinematography/budget wise), so I assume this show will be given its full due.
I think the 18+ might also be violence too? The ML (LJH's role) is an ex-convict, so he might get himself into some trouble/as he might be rowdy at first. So I expect, cursing, violence, and more accurate/realistic depiction of death.
The trailer is already so darn good that I can't help but feel this drama could be a true masterpiece.
If this is anything close to what Departures or Six Feet Under is, then yeah this is going to be a true masterpiece. I love that this is an original story based on an actual person who did this job. I actually think this might be LJH's best work, which is saying a lot!!
She's gorgeous and a good actress. Has good comedic timing, and can pull off sexy as seen in True Beauty. How come she's not getting any mains? Considering other male actors have blown up despite working for a few yrs, then Im Se Mi who has been working 2005?! Come on, folks give her something!!!
I honestly can't believe this is already half way through?! What in the world?! I'm shocked truly. Either the…
Good. They ought to, I think everything of this show is great, but its just needs that emotional connection (imo). I would like to see more of Do Ki's vulnerabilities. Yes, the fight scenes are hot, but I hope they show more of his emotions regarding his trauma!!
Every time he fights it turns me on. I know, TMI but I just had to say it. Thanks for coming to my TED talk ;)
Checking: Gurl, how are you holding up now? Esp. his swagger when he walks like he just f'd up someone, is so HOT!!! For me, its his power and control he has when he's in Batman mode. There's something alluring and very attractive seeing someone in control, and in power!!
This is so mf good. I‘m not usually one of those kind that go crazy while waiting for new episodes of a drama…
"I can‘t help myself but loving Lee Je Hoon more and more every episode. And I really need him as my teacher pls." Say it louder!!! There was a user that said every time he fights, it turns them on, well...let's just say ahem... Anyways, he looks really good in glasses. I love his professor attire with the blazers and sweaters, someone please cast him in a role where he looks like this?! I'm just glad, shallowly speaking that his bangs aren't in the way. He should keep more or so this shorter hairstyle. Me to LJH: "you look sexy with your hair pushed back."
It's finally Friday, yay! I just saw the latest promos and I expect very intense and heartbreaking episodes this…
I honestly can't believe this is already half way through?! What in the world?! I'm shocked truly. Either the pacing of this show goes by quickly, or time flew lol. After this week, we'll heading into Ep 9/10, and we have like 3 weeks left then. Woah. Also, I really hope the show tackles Do Ki's trauma/PTSD as well. I assume after Go Eun's arc, they'll go into more of his.
This is definitely Lee Je Hoon's year. Taxi Driver is already doing incredibly well and I just saw the new trailer…
He's getting that fat checks as well as the wide spread acclaim!! This is his first drama as the actual main that will gain him accolades/nominations. This is LJH's year, and we're all just living in it! Woo Woo!!
