Thanks! I love it when people write about similarities with Western shows and K-dramas! In this case, IA 100%. The ml is quite ambiguous rn with the way he goes about his behavior. Although he didn't pull the trigger so to speak, he has this looming darkness that surrounds him. I definitely think there is a lot of red herrings in this drama, and its throwing us off with whether or not our ML is actually who he says he is. I definitely think he will kill if something gets in his way/or endangers his loved ones. I really hope that the show focuses on him more-so then the police cases which are honestly so boring and overdone. So many good premises have been ruined by focusing on the cases more than the person themselves, like you, keeping it like Dexter and focusing on the ML and his troubles/psyche is so much more interesting and exciting to watch unfold!!
I wanted to watch his dramas, but not anymore after I learned that he cheated on Jeon So Min.. shame on him :/
While he wasn't named, the time line is so suspect :/ Its hard to reconcile someone who appears so nice and sweet in rl with this action. I will still watch his work, but yeah its a stain on him.

Omg. Don't feel sorry! I'm glad you mentioned all these shows because you're right that the ones that do have violent MLs tend to be antagonists/downplayed.
With Flower of Evil, its still up in the air where it will go. The show is 1/4 of the way in and its been a thrill ride thus far. Can you elaborate further on how the show is staying on the Dexter path? Thanks!

Great explanation btw! I can't think of any other show in Korea that is close to Dexter or You? I think this may be the closest we get to it, since we see his family side. As well as him questioning his morality at every turn, when he is near a situation where he might have to kill.
Not OP, but what was up with the last shot/frame of the main lead?? You just see his back with the voice over looming in the background, and he's holding his phone and wearing lighter shades. Like huh?? Is he still alive or was it just a nice nod to the fans? I wonder if Season 2 was ever proposed? Jung Kyung Ho here is amazing, like he is awesome!
I don't think she knows yet. They probably gonna kill the Taxi driver and she thinks he was kidnapped coz he's…
You hit the nail on the head. Why add the watch scene if it wasn't there to give more skepticism towards LJG's character? They did reveal it a bit sooner than I thought, but I think its better for her to begin suspecting her husband (she already had suspicions). Have it be a mental game till the end.
Sera and Gong-myung's romance is so cute! I really hope they don't have to go through a breakup period/made-up…
Your lips to god ears tbh! I hope that b/c the rom-com aspects kicked into high gear Ep 8 that the rest is more hot make-out scenes and two kick-ass leads working together!
WOW Joo Ji Hoon is on a ROLL!! That being said, he's going to have a very busy 2021. He has this show filming in August, a film shooting in the Fall, and another film after that film is done shooting. His work stamina is insane :O I hope he has rested well b/c 2021 is his year!
Also have you guys noticed that Go Se-ra no longer forcibly plays with Gong-myung anymore? I noticed the change since Ep 7 through now :) Once she realized her true feelings about him and admitted it, she softened around him. Its so lovely to see how they are both changing each other in subtle ways :)
I may just be being hopeful and seeing things as I want to see them, but do we possibly have a potential lesbian…
That would be lovely tbh. Although KBS is a bit bland when it comes to representation, now MBC though isn't. Also side note- The actress who plays Han Bi is so pretty in a delicate way!
His line delivery is a bit monotone here, however whenever he's on-screen, he looks like a supermodel lol.
Haha. Np. It's just that I've other shows I got to watch too, so its like I'm trying to binge-watch this. I'm on Ep 3. K-drama cinematography has come a long way since this show. SMA + JJH should work together again tbh.

Oh thanks for answering so fast! Oh yeah, JJH is really distractingly attractive lol. Him and SMA look so fresh faced. It's on Viki! I'm also watching it for the first time, but 20 episodes ugh :3
We see a similar pattern in Backstreet Rookie (tho there it's only 2 years). I think that in Korea unless the…
Her friends or her mentioned that she broke up and got back together with him several times in Ep 5 I believe. So it seems like even though they dated for a while, that it was rocky at times so I assume that was another reason.
