I honestly can't tell if I like this premiere or not. I've watched both the 1st and 2nd episode and I just can't…
The Producer of the show said in the press conference that the romantic comedy will take the limelight of the show, and the politics will merely assist the show. Since this is billed as a rom-com, that is very important so I'm glad that the PD said that. The teasers of the show with the couple were my favorite part. In one teaser she was caressing his shocked face and she felt something lol. Another teaser was both of them at the bus stop waiting, and her head leaned on his shoulder and judging by his face he felt something too lol. Dunno who gets the feels first, but there's def. something there to work on. In the teasers, it had a heartbeat signal at the bottom to symbolize those feelings lol. I wonder if this will have that too?
I hope that the chemistry there translates (Imo It has). Every time the two are on-screen, there's some electricity there. I just hope Nana dumps her nuisance of a bf. From what I read, that the two of them together are going to work together to take down corrupted politicians. For my 2 cents, the show has done a good job establishing the two characters backstories and their incentive to fight for the common good. I just hope its not a case where the main couple get together midway through the show. I assume he's going to help with her campaign, and from there on, she'll start to get feelings for him and vice versa. I hope that b/c the PD has stated this is a rom-com several times that this shows through. Has the potential, and am intrigued by the couple and I hope that they like the PD said will be at the forefront of the show and not the politics.
WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE LEADS' HAIR??????? WHY DOES NANA LOOK LIKE THAT???? WHAT DID PARK SUNGHOON DO TO TO DESERVE…
Nana actually pulls it off. The male lead though, I think its the way the camera is filmed but it kinda makes him look old lol. He's a handsome man, but this haircut is not it. Also don't think that the camera angles which makes everyone faces look big help either.
After reading the comments, I was a little hesitant to start this one, but I'm glad I did. I found the first episode…
Woah! I thought the same thing too! She reminds me of Lee Sung Kyung in this episode too circa Weightlifting Fairy Bok Jo era! They have great chemistry together both in real life and in here too. I loved the little fan service they gave at the press conference, when they recreated the hugging poster lol.
This guy really popped out of nowhere last year, and now he has his first leading role in a public network kudos!…
Lol like minds think alike! Tbh his look in Psychopath Diary was hot af! But alas coconut head it is :( Maybe as the show goes on, he'll change up his look a bit?!
This guy really popped out of nowhere last year, and now he has his first leading role in a public network kudos!…
He's one to watch. He has the looks, the height, charm, and the talent. He's playing the straight man character in comedy, I'm expecting a Because this is your first Life male lead esque type of role. Although his hair in the press conference would've been a bit better lol. Let's hope for a lot of cute and romantic moments with the two!
This drama has so many names on social media. It’s confusing! I’m so glad that MDL chose the most common one…
This guy really popped out of nowhere last year, and now he has his first leading role in a public network kudos! Being a part of a big agency has been good to him. Hope this succeeds so he can get more leading man offers!
He has one of the best agents in the industry right now. He picks the right projects for him, story wise and character wise. Him going to the military early proved to be the best decision for him career wise.
He needs a better agent because the roles that he has been offered suck minus Love Affairs. He needs to do a badass…
Signal should have been his breakthrough role. His role in While You Were Sleeping made for a good foil to the main character. However, he did not get any substantial offers afterwards. He has a lot of potential, but for some reason it never happened? I wonder if it is just what he is being offered or his agency. Even in Once Again, his arc right now is up in the air.
I do not get why so much discussion over simple matter. I cannot remember any korean family drama where ends with…
You hit the nail on the head with NH and GJ. They are not the typical main leads in a drama, but that's what I like because I found them to be realistic characters. However, I am very bummed at how the writer has put them in denial and jealous mode for over a month now. The issues of "- how to heal after miscarriage/child loss, how to grow from bad communication, misunderstandings, how to change focus from weaknesses into strengths of your partner, how to reconcile" would work much better in a mini-series than a weekender. Their story arc seems out of place in this show's tone which is more comical and their plot is more sad, that sometimes it feels a bit out of place. Instead the writer is more focused on creating new couples which is what she excels in, but the issues you mentioned haven't been resolved or touched upon much. GJ very much is just a filler character, and its a shame because LSY is a more than capable talent to be handed only 2 min. scenes where his character moans, wimps, and is down all the time. The couple has become overshadowed in the show, due to the lack of progress or important scenes between the couple. What a shame tbh, there was some potential with this couple but even if they reunite at the end, it'll feel uneventful and too late. LMJ and LSJ in the issues presented dealing with those serious topics would make for a much better mini-series (16 episodes) than a 50 episode show.
Interesting that we see comments about Nahee's supposed cold character but not her ex-husband? It's not like he was a saint either, its hard to be near someone who doesn't speak what's on his mind. I mean she's a bit dense when it comes to romance, well both of them are but if GJ doesn't stay anything to her about his true feelings then how could they grow? I for one love Nahee, is she perfect no? But I think that's what makes them relatable and flawed, both NH and GJ are. However, with Alex's character you see smile and laugh a lot more whereas with GJ he would upvote hate comments about her, and just be a rude and mean person. I'm a bit surprised that people here think he's a pure character when he's just as messy if not more than NH is. He's an insecure and shy person, who would always nag to his wife, and made her sit alone to eat. I'm so tired of seeing LSY's constipated face now. Nahee is a bit cold yes, but if people and your ex-hubby made you out to be an outcast at work and at home just because you are more introverted and a loner by nature isn't right. LMJ is doing a great job as Nahee, and she has tons of fans judging by the YouTube comments and other places. Rock on woman, rooting for you to shine and blossom again :) !!
It saddens me because I started this drama for Lee Sang Yeob but his storyline, and just in general Na Hee and…
He needs a better agent because the roles that he has been offered suck minus Love Affairs. He needs to do a badass role for his next role, something like Signal or Stranger next. His screen time is only 2 minutes now lol :/
This was kind of an average to below average show for me, not many will remember it next year. Gotta put more…
Yeah pretty much. Not a memorable drama. Just watching it for fun, and that's it. You can tell it was written by a rookie writer. Although, this does bode well for her next work from finessing what she had here into her next work.
Patriarchal societies really hate strong, assertive women don't they? I know Na Hee can be a bit much, but if…
Since this is a drama, a lot of events here are dramatized. I think that there will be always be people who gossip, but as time goes on people forget or no longer care as much. While divorce could be seen as breaking up the traditional system of family. In recent years, Korea has emerged as one of the highest divorce rates in Asia and growing. So I think that a lot of people aren't shocked as much anymore. I do agree that the patriarchal attributes placed on women to upheld their role as a women in a marriage or society needs to end. No wonder women in Korea don't want to settle down/get married as much because of financial constraints or burdens placed on them too. This show features divorce as the main aspect, but I do hope that the writer instead of just shipping new couples actually goes a bit deeper as the series is halfway through now.
The thing I hate more than anything is women putting other women down, the way those three market ladies acted…
Same here. I really disliked that aspect when it appeared in the beginning of the show. KBS got complaints when they showed the girls 'luring' in the men to eat kimbap. The posters of them advertising the shop (as it looked like something more scandalous) rme. It sucked because the two women and the boss, have doubled down on their style as a result. I notice it more on the two young women, because they dress like old ladies now :/ Also is it just me, are those twotalkative women a thing? (They probably aren't going to announce it, but they haven't even touched on them). I hope it says a mystery till the end.
I loved that when he did discover her true identity, he of course got upset at first. But once actual shit happened,…
Yay! I finally saw it. I hope they don't use the angst again, judging by the previews next week. Don't touch Seok-ho, Michael!! Also can we finally see a kiss scene as well??
