i guess it's my fault for having high expectations in the first place because it was so disappointing.
visually and acting wise it was good and plot seemed promising but the execution was really lacking. i wonder if it originally followed the 2 part format then it would have been better? or it would have been worst and dragged out to death. i guess we'll never know.
and even if the story sucked ass then the romance would be enough but sadly even they could not save the drama for me. i found it hard to be emotionally invested. and we know it's not from a lack of chemistry because their previous drama was overflowing with it.
if i'm being honest i had this feeling early on but given how long i've been waiting in anticipation, dropping it felt like a waste.
sigh. oh well. maybe it'd be a good idea to read the novel to fill in the missing blanks or rewatch cute clips of love is sweet. π₯²π₯²
I really loved your review. There were two things that stood out to me, that truly made me realize why I rooted…
thank you so much! i really loved both their character and relationship development. it's such a shame that the drama will get overlooked so i thought it was important to share my overall thoughts. π₯°π₯°
it's been awhile since this came across my mind so rereading what i wrote makes me nostalgic and miss it haha.
it's been a year but this still remains one of my favourite underrated gems
i regret not leaving comments when it was airing to encourage viewers to watch but if you happen to stumble upon this and is wanting to read my in depth review/analysis of the drama then feel free to!
was hoping to finish the novel before the drama started but it's taking me a little longer than expected haha but i'm really enjoying it! and the slow burn is *chef's kiss* i hope it will be just as good π₯°π₯°
i wonder what was the reason for min hui feeling "down" 5 years ago prior to meeting su tian, it can't be that she was going to attempt suicide since it's clearly shown how they've deterred from the novel
aight folks let's wrap up the angsty portion of the drama and move on we only have 10 episodes left so they better show us the cutest, fluffiest, most disgustingly sweet moments that will make us physically ill or else i'll riot
it's really cute that even though he's already seen her at her worst/embarrassing moments, he still finds it lowkey endearing like the best type of relationship is where you can feel comfortable around the other
I still think Pei Yin is Zhou Yuan's father. PY left before the massacre. He's also much older than he looks.…
by the end everything got kind of complicated haha but if the writer had chosen to go that route (of him being her father) it definitely would have been a nice twist
