“Dream High” is a school musical drama that follows a group of people who love music and want to express it. The main character is Hye Mi, a spoiled rich girl who thinks she’s above everyone else, but gets a reality check when her father loses all of his money and suddenly Hye Mi doesn’t even have a place to live. At school, Hye Mi finds her true love for music and makes real friends.

The romance between Hye Mi and Jin Gook didn’t grab me, but it was totally different with Sam Dong, they were literally the perfect couple. That’s why I think they needed to be shown together, it was the only mistake the drama made.

The idea behind this drama is amazing, it was the first drama to focused on music itself. They cast idols who had basically never acted before and it just worked. This drama forged the careers of Suzy, IU, Kim Soo Hyun, Ok Taec Yeon and Ham Eun Jung, after which they became actors and still are to this day.

The songs are beautiful, "Dream High" is really addictive and there are also some popular songs like "Genie" and "Sunset Glow", but the most impressive one is "Only Hope", not only because it is the last song, but because it shows Hye Mi's feelings for Sam Dong.

"Dream High" is a very good drama, if you like music and a classic school romance story, this is the perfect choice.
