"A Gentleman's Dignity" is a drama about the lives and loves of four men in their forties: Kim Do Jin, Im Tae San, Choi Yoon and Lee Jung Rok.
Do Jin doesn't believe in love, he just wants to live his life without thinking much about the future or having a family, until he meets Yi Soo and falls in love with her at first sight. The problem is that Yi Soo has a one-sided love for Tae San, Do Jin's friend. To complicate matters even more, Tae San is dating Yi Soo's friend Se Ra.
Yoon is a sweet man who lost his wife, he has no interest in dating again, but Me Ah Ri enters his life to change everything, with the purpose of making him fall in love with her. Let's complicate the story even more: Me Ah Ri is the younger sister of Tae San, his friend.
To complete the stories of the friends, we have Jung Rok, a womanizer who can't stop cheating on his wife. The drama basically shows her trying to divorce him in every episode. HAHA'
The drama is light, funny and easy to watch. All the characters are great, the couples have amazing chemistry. That's one of the things I love about this drama, you don't just want to watch the main couple, but each and every one of them. The romances are on different levels to match the characters, it's just too perfect.
Seeing Yi Soo fighting with Do Jin, him trying everything to make her like him. At the same time, seeing Tae San with Se Ra, an independent woman who doesn't want to be tamed and Yoon, falling in love with a younger woman, fighting against her own feelings and lastly, Jung Rok realizing that he can't live without Min Sook... all of this is what makes this story a fantastic experience.
There are also two characters that steal the show: Collin and Dong Hyeop. You might think that these two don't have a place in this story, but they really complete everything. This was my first drama with Kim Woo Bin!
