"Apple of My Eye" it's a drama about Kang San, who's a single dad that has to provide for the family of his wife, that abandoned him and their daughter Jan Di. There's also his troublemaker father. Mi Rae is a girl that was adopted into a rich family, but she always felt like she didn't belong. She started to work and becomes Jan Di's art teacher. That way she meets Kang San and the two bond over their problems and eventually fell in love.

It was a difficult drama to watch, because the story is tiring and the characters don't really capture your attention, they are all pretty dull, but it's not all bad. Kang San is certainly the best character, I really liked how he did everything for Jan Di and continued living with his wife's family, even though she abandoned him. The biggest problem for me was Mi Rae, I couldn't like Yoon Da Young's performance.

I knew that Sun Ju, Jan Di's mother, was going to come back for some reason, they weren't going to kill the character out of nowhere and there had to be some conflict, right? I just didn't imagine that she was going to come back because of her sick daughter, because she needed Jan Di to donate her marrow. I understand Jan Di's reaction, she always dreamed of meeting her mother, so when Sun Ju reappeared, Jan Di wanted to do everything to keep her by her side, even trying to force Kang San to get back with her, but after finding out that Kang San is not her biological father, Jan Di understood everything he sacrificed for her and knew that his happiness was more important.

If I have to choose something that made me happy while watching it was seeing Ye Ju and Joo Hyuk, I didn't expect this couple and I thought the two were cute together, I wish I had seen more of them ^^
