The story is too depressing
In "Bright Eyes In The Dark", Lu Xiao is a captain in the firehouse and Nan Chu is an actress that goes there to shoot a documentary, but the drama isn't about their romance, rather is about the lives of the firefighters, how much this profession is important and how they are committed to save lives, even risking their own in the process. It's not a light romantic comedy and that's what I was expecting, 40 episodes it's too long, the story ends up becoming repetitive and draggy, if it had half the episodes, it would be better.
There are depressive moments, like when Zhen Gang lost his leg and his purpose in life, because he couldn't be a firefighter anymore and Qi Lei dying to save someone else or Da Gang, that even after being fired, died saving someone. I get the purpose of all this, to show how dangerous this profession is, that the firefighters risk their lives every day and don't get the right treatment, but it was just too much.
I also didn't like the open ending, I wanted something more concrete. In my opinion, Lu Xiao is dead, he must have sacrifice himself in some mission and Nan Chu's dance showed that. There are two distinct moments in the final sequence, we see Nan Chu dancing in a red background and Lu Xiao is not in audience, there's an empty place and there's the moment when Lu Xiao walks in alone, there's no one else besides him and Nan Chu, the scenery is different, lighter and with snow, like she's glowing. I saw that was a sign that Lu Xiao was seeing her from heaven.
It's a good drama, but like I said, it was too long, it lost my attention way before the ending.

A light, fun and easy drama to watch
In "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" there is a young girl named Doo Shim who's the daughter of a shaman and has the ability to see the dead, but she hates this power and ignores everyone who asks for her help.Doo Shim transfer schools and meets Woo Soo, they become closer and Woo Soo starts to see the dead too. They discover there's an evil spirit at school that kills the student that gets the last place in the tests. The two join forces to destroy the spirit and free the school.
After Kim Sae Ron's scandal, I think this will probably be her last drama, I don't think she'll have a space in the showiness again, which it's a shame, I really like her, she's a good actress, but in South Korea your personal life is just as important as your work life, so you have to be careful with your actions.
The drama is light and easy to watch, it reminded me of "Sell Your Haunted House", specially because of the partnership between the main characters. The episodes are small, only 20 minutes each, so when you least realize, it's already over.

Don't mess with the help
"Master of The House" it's a story of a rich family and their secrets. Kaimook works as a maid in the house and suddenly, her life changes when Rungroj asks her to marry him and Kaimook became a Cinderella story, but the reality is quite different, since Rungroj dies in the same day they get married. The drama shows the suspects and want you to find the killer's identity, but that's not the real twist. The whole family is insane, the ending was so satisfactory, I never thought Kaimook was planning her revenge this whole time, that she was been abused by that old man and then she made this plan to get back what is rightfully hers. A total badass.
It's a great production, but to be honest, it should had more episodes, I felt like the story was rushed, I wanted to see a better development, with more details, because there was a lot of content to be explored in this crazy family, specially with the cousins hooking up.

It's a good law drama, but it doesn't have anything different
"May It Please The Court" is a drama about a lawyer named Chak Hee, like her name, she's a good person and tries to help others, but doing so she's got demoted to work in a rural area with Shi Baek, a lawyer that doesn't win any of his cases for a long time. They work together and get closer with time, that's when Chak Hee learns that Shi Baek is hiding a dark secret from her and that could be that he's the serial killer that's killing people lately, but the truth is more complicated than that.
The drama style reminded of "Lawless Lawyer", specially the relationship between the main characters, exactly because of that, the drama's flaw is that there is not romance scenes with Chak Hee and Shi Baek, they should have shown that.
At the beginning, there was that classic hate that turns into love, but the problem is that the love never came. HAHAHA'
The focus on the cases, in the investigation and trying to find the killer was really important, but I felt like the drama failed in not having the couple, it could have improved the drama's quality.
Jung Ryeo Won is really amazing, a great actress <3

This season was a big disappointment. It had potential, but it was totally wasted.
"Hellbound 2" continues the story where it was left off. Four years has passed since the events of last season, The New Truth and Arrowhead control the world and people can't do anything but accept how everything is falling apart. Hye Jin is working with a group named Sodo, she has the baby girl who survived, but she's locked up in a secret place to be studied.Jung Jin Soo has come back from hell, along with Park Jung Ja. Every one of the groups tries to find them for different reasons, but basically to use them in their favor.
I have to be honest, this season was not what I was expecting. Season 1 is simply amazing in every sense, but it basically lacked everything here. The story is draggy and when I finished, it felt like I didn't watch anything, almost like nothing new was added in the story.
Yoo Ah In was really an important part of the show, changing the actor drastically affected the quality of the character. Kim Sung Cheol just didn't work, he made the character too arrogant, Jung Jin Soo was never like that... he was just a crazy bastard. One thing I did liked, how Jin Soo became one of the monsters. I think this has to do with the sins the person has, if after coming back from hell it changed them or not. Jung Ja came back with the power to see people's deaths, but Jin Soo instead of trying to change the world, wanted to ruin everything more. Those things like tentacles that the monster is made, it's almost like a metaphor for the evil inside the person.
Bringing back the detective and his daughter, it didn't made any sense, because at least not seeing them, we could think that everything was okay. Seeing Hui Jeong like that, did what to the story? Absolutely nothing. We only saw a young girl tragically die.
The best character of the season was Oh Ji Won aka Miss Sunshine. How stupid it was to kill her off in the first episode? She was really interesting, what a shame. Her husband is totally the opposite, I still can't believe how foolish of him to think Jin Soo wanted to change things... he was the one that started everything.
In the end, people for all around the country start to get the decrees, basically giving the impression that we're going into the end of the world, which in my opinion is something needed, since everyone is too crazy. I'm hoping for a third season, at least for the story to end in a better way.

A beautiful family story!
"Golden Rainbow" it's a drama about family, how it's not about blood ties, but rather the love and the bond that makes a family.Young Hae has a daughter named Ha Bin, who one day gets kidnapped and loses her memory. She's found in the beach by Man Won, who takes her in as his little sister. Then, they meet Ha Joon, a wonderful man who gives her a new name: Baek Won and becomes their father, along with other orphan children, making a huge and happy family.
Baek Won meets a young boy named Do Young at school, he's sweet and the two become closer with time. Everything is fine, until her father is framed and goes to prison. The children with fear of going to an orphanage run away, losing Young Won in the process. Years go by, everyone grows up, Baek Won became a police office in order to find Young Won and then she's reunited with Do Young, who became a prosecutor.
The romance between Baek Won and Do Young is sweet, the two have great chemistry in scene, but they have a few repetitive moments, their young version was truly better. Do Young is hurt three times because of Baek Won, basically he was always on the ground bleeding and she was screaming for him.
And the whole ending with Do Young shooting himself in the head? A little too much, too dramatic.. it really wasn't necessary, specially because Jung Il Woo it's not very good in dramatic scenes, his specialty is the comedy.
I know it's not right, but I have to say that I liked Man Won better than Do Young. I know it's weird for her since they were raised as brother and sister since a young age, but if the writers showed the truth a little sooner and Do Young's character didn't exist, Man Won would be the better choice, his one-sided love hurt a lot to see.
What really stuck with me was the family's story, Ha Joon's love for his children and how they will do anything for each other.
The soundtrack is really perfection, joining Ali with Ulala Session, it couldn't go wrong <3

The power of money
"Payback" it's a drama about a corrupted reality, where money and power surpass truth and justice, the main characters join in a quest for revenge and to exposed the crimes to the world.Eun Yong and Joon Gyeong are two people who met unexpectedly when they were young and formed a bond, they reunite when Joon Gyeong's mother is wrongfully framed and killed, they make up a plan to avenge her and make the people who did that to her pay.
Eun Yong's character is funny, clever and really interesting. I loved how he played with the stock market, using that to his favor, making people like chess pieces, since they move around money. The drama is also a critic of that, how money can corrupt people and that you shouldn't live your life seeking only money, you can lose sight of what's really important.
The only thing wrong about the drama is Tae Chun, he's really a boring character. I get his purpose in the story, but they should have put a better actor to do this part.
It's not a drama I would usually watch, but since it's the last drama of Lee Sun Kyun, I had a duty to see, since he was a actor I truly respected and loved and the drama really surprised me, it's really good, much better than what I expected.

A surprising and impressive story
"The Frog" it's a drama that follows two different timelines, which sometimes got a little confusing, but when you understands the development, it's really impressive.Yeong Ha runs a guest house and Seong Ah comes one day to stay with her "son". The twist in here it's that Yeong Ha understands that Seong Ah killed the boy in the house, but doesn't say anything because he's afraid of the rumors and not being to rent the house again.
This is connected with Sang Jun's story. He had a motel and a serial killer killed someone in there and it became famous, but not in a good way, changing Sang Jun's life forever.
The story is intriguing, smart and the development is amazing, you stay stuck from the beginning to the end. The acting is spectacular, specially Kim Yoon Seok and Go Min Si <3
Chan Yeol really surprised me as an actor, I have seen him in "Missing 9", but I couldn't really see him as an actor, only as an idol, but after this role, it's impossible not to.
Seong Ah is awesome, I still can't forget her crazy eyes and even that I know that she's a psychopath, my dark side just fell in love with her. HAHAHA'
She's a very interesting character, the way that she doesn't feel guilty for what she's done. It was very unfortunate for Yeong Ha to have her in his guest house.
The drama's ending is very satisfying, because the bad guys got they deserved and the people involved finally had peace.
"If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is around to hear it... does it make a sound? or is there nothing but silence?" <3

Just not worth it
"Rebirth For You" it's a story about a princess called Bao Ning, she doesn't like to be trapped in the palace and even more to be engaged to the king, she always tries to escape and to the things she likes. On one of this adventures, she meets Li Qian, he's a palace guard and with time, it's clear that they have feelings for each other and they get married. The married life isn't so easy and they have to pass a lot of obstacles to just be happy.
I really thought Bao Ning was going to be a different character, the beginning made me think she was a creative woman, someone who didn't follow the rules like Shao Shang in "Love Like The Galaxy", but it wasn't like that. The whole thing with her father and Li Qian's mother, the conflict didn't last long, it was resolved quite quickly.
The drama was disappointing, I though the story was gonna be good, but there's nothing interesting. The main lead couple is cute, but not enough to catch the attention, their relationship was shallow.
It's a drama that's good on paper, but in reality, it's a story like any other, with nothing new to show.

It didn't drive me crazy... it's just a boring drama
"You Drive Me Crazy" is a drama about two best friends, that on a drunken mistake slept together and have to face the consequences, how that is going to affect their relationship.I know is a mini drama, but everything was rushed, the story development is flaw.
Also the poster is a little misleading, since the other characters barely appear on screen and didn't cause any affect on the main "couple".
In conclusion, it's a drama you watch and forgets almost immediately.

I expected more from a drama with a gangster
"My Sweet Mobster" follows Eun Ha, a kids content creator who unexpectedly runs into Ji Hwan, a former gangster who's now living a new life. The two become entangled with each other and eventually Eun Ha comes to live with Ji Hwan, because she lost her house. With time, they become closer and fall in love.My biggest problem was with the character Eun Ha, I know that because of her work she has to act cute and stuff, but that doesn't mean that she has to act like that ALL the time... eventually her "way" was really annoying me.
And also, for me there was no chemistry between the two main leads characters, the funny scenes were so much better than the romantic ones.
It's a sweet, light and easy to watch drama. I should have been expecting that for the poster and synopsis, but I didn't think it would be so childish.

The drama really lie to me.. that it was a good revenge story
"We All Lie" is a revenge story. Su Li is the main character, a famous writer that basically has the perfect life, but everything changes when she discover that her husband is cheating with her friend. Her rage can't be controlled, so Su Li makes a revenge plan, to make the people who hurt her suffer the same way.Su Li's plan seemed fun, but since the moment she gets Shu Heng arrested, the drama quality drops completely. Wei De's character is unnecessary and doesn't add anything to the story, it was kind of ridiculous to put a love interest for her so suddenly, when she just lost her baby and with her ex-husband in jail, even that Wei De was planned by Ying Ying.
Subjects don't last one episode, Shu Heng found out too soon about Su Li's revenge plan, I wanted to see her fooling him for much longer, that took the fun out of it.
No comments to the scene that Ying Ying's plan was discover by everyone and she lost her mind and try to stab Su Li with a scissors! HAHAHAHA'
I always loved a good revenge story, but the drama development is flaw, is too rushed, they couldn't really appreciate the story line. The revenge is over so fast, we barely have time to enjoy it.
In conclusion, "We All Lie" was a drama that had some good moments, but lost the change to be better.

Bloody, bizarre and freaking creative
"Connect" it's a drama is about a world where there is people with strange abilities, they are called "Connect", their body doesn't die, no matter how it's hurt. The main character is Dong Soo, a lonely man who lives hidden because there's no one who would understand and accept him. One day he's kidnapped and lost one of his eyes, after that he keeps getting visions of someone else and that person is a serial killer.
The story follows his quest to stop that person and get his eye back. In the meanwhile, Dong Soo encounters I Rang, a woman who's just like him.
This drama was a huge surprise, I wasn't expecting it to like so much. It's one of the best productions I have ever seen and it has the face of Takashi Miike writing on it. The only flaw is the open ending, since most likely there will not be a second season.
Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo e Kim Hye Joon <3

Such a weak drama, not even Lee Bo Young can save it
"Hide" is a suspense/thriller based on a tv show called "Keeping Faith". I didn't watch the original tv show, but I can say for sure that this version just didn't work.It tells the story of Moon Young, a successful lawyer, who's married and with a child, life couldn't be more perfect but out of the blue, her husband Sung Jae goes missing and after that, the police finds his body in a burning car, with a suicide letter. Moon Young doesn't believe that and starts to investigate what her husband was doing the days before his death and what she finds, makes her overthink everything in her life.
Sung Jae was lying to Moon Young all the time, doing illegal things and even cheating on her with Yeon Joo, their neighbor and their daughter's teacher. We discover that Moon Young's father stole the identity of Yeon Joo's father, living his life and Yeon Joo did everything for revenge.
I love Lee Bo Young, she's an spectacular actress, but it feels like the drama didn't want her, almost like she was forced to be there. Her clothes were ridiculous, too big and didn't fit her right and the character development was laze. Basically all the characters are shallow, none of them really stand out, neither did the story.
One really big flaw of the story is not show the change in Seong Jae, from a good family man, to a person like that, who would do anything for money.

The meaning of love
"Ashes of Love" tells the story of a girl named Jin Mi who's born without the ability to love, because of that she's always naive, happy and free, but everything changes when Xu Feng falls in the Floral Realm and meets her unexpectedly.Jin Mi and Xu Feng become closer and eventually are involved romantically, still Jin Mi doesn't understand what's love. There's also Run Yu, Xu Feng's half brother who falls in love with Jin Mi at first sight.
The three characters are connected with each other and when Jin Mi finds her real father, she discover that she's the lost fiancee of Run Yu. That causes the conflict that changes their lives forever.
I liked Xu Feng, but to be honest, Run Yu is a better character, his life story, his traumas, all that makes him more appealing to audience, when Xu Feng was always the favorite son and treated with more care, but Run Yu's jealousy was his doom, when he basically forced Jin Mi to kill Xu Feng with her own hands, making her think that Xu Feng was her father's killer. In that moment, Jin Mi broke her Yun Elixir, realizing what's love and what's she done.
Jin Mi's sacrifice at the end was to make amends, since basically everything was her fault, the brothers fighting because of her and destroying all that's in the way... I really loved Jin Mi's phrase when she's dying: "If your heart is filled with love, why would you be afraid of sadness and fear?"
Of course there's a happy ending for Jin Mi and Xu Feng, it would be too sad if that didn't happen.
The drama is truly amazing, the story, the characters, the development, the actors, it's one of the best cdramas that I have ever seen. It's really worth the watch <3
