what's the deal with the ending? ?? Did the director get drunk at the end and in his delirium come up with such a hopeless ending?? Did Ml die in the end or not?? He couldn't reincarnate in such a short time... unless his death was faked, or as they wrote in the comment below he had a twin brother....the worst ending of short dramas I've ever seen...
in general this drama is very good and has great actors, especially Chen Xing Xu, who at one point in the movie plays 3 different selves, due to the scattered 3 fragments of his soul that reincarnated in the human world... he played these roles so well, I especially liked him in the character of the simple and sweet La Mu, just fantastic... and that's why when they went through everything together with FL in the human world, I thought that the author of the script would make a good ending for both couples (2 sisters and their boyfriends)... but they didn't have to come up with a mess at the end and an unclear ending (on the principle of interpreting the ending yourself)... but the course of the series until the death of both sisters was really very good...
Apart from the ending, is the rest of the series worth it? Cuz I also hate a terrible ending
yes it is worth watching, because it is a nice series in general, but it is best to stop at episode 34, because in 35 our FL's sister dies first, who sacrifices her life... and then a few episodes later the main FL dies because of a girl who wanted revenge for her nation and dragged FL into the abyss... and then only sadness and an attempt to get both sisters' flowers back with the ending I mentioned earlier...
so, for me personally it's not a good ending, because I was counting on concrete ending, but for others it will probably be enough if they interpret it properly.... I'll spoil the ending a bit in the explanation..... it's about the fact that, after the sacrifice of both sisters and their deaths, the immortals found a way for their flowers to be reborn by recreating the garden with the tree that was destroyed... they grew these flowers for a year and when they were reborn as a twin flower, the director decided to end it in such a way that in the last shot he made such a scene with the twin flower on this tree as one... for me it's not satisfying and I don't know exactly how to understand it, whether this flower, like before, has to connect with the soul of a human and be born from a woman to take on a human form, or this time it will be different and both sisters will be reborn immediately from this flower and when and how long it will last... so that's why I was very disappointed with the ending.... generally I don't want to guess and interpret on my own, I just want to have a satisfying closing ending without any misunderstandings and guessing...
it's also a pity that they cut out a few nice romantic scenes with kisses of both couples... they were probably afraid of censors again... it's weak when you have to cut such scenes because of the "holy inquisition" who pretend to be censors for morality, and it's just a few kisses, nothing special...
the series was great... except unfortunately the ending, which was left on a cliffhanger, which I simply can't stand and I have to shout it out!!! How can you ruin a great script with a bad ending!!!!. The whole thing was great to watch, there was some drama, some humor and a lot of positive emotions in connection with the characters and their development of love, there were some emotions when some scenes brought tears of emotion... great acting by all the actors... some messages not to judge people and not to fixate on the legends and principles of ancestors, but to look at a person and who they are.... for all this I thank the director and the entire crew... but I will not forgive this terrible ending, where I was waiting in suspense for the appearance of both sisters and I hoped that their husbands would be able to take them home, and here such a huge disappointment... they ruined the entire series equal in the plot with one stupid ending... I can't forgive the director and the author of the script for that... they could have made an effort and added a short episode with both couples together, but no - they decided to make an open, stupid ending... that is why I cannot rate this drama 10 points, because that is how much it would have deserved if not for the ending... that is why for my disappointment with the ending I am lowering it to 6 points, and I should have rated it even lower due to the terrible idea of the ending....
after reading the comments, however, I am not starting to watch... it's a pity that it's another sad ending... to be honest, I am tired of watching tragic and sad endings.... for 2 years I have been watching dramas of this type and most of them end badly for the main leads... they go through hardships, often mega traumatic and at the end the authors of the script kill these characters as a sacrifice and redemption for others for others for the world etc.... unfortunately I can no longer stand these traumatic experiences and unfulfilled loves, these palace intrigues, additional toxic and blinded and intriguing 2ML 2i 2FL, bloody revenges, unjustified deaths of the main leads with a sacrifice for the public, despotic parents and families imposing the duty of the family before the happiness of their children etc.... this puts me in a state of long sadness, and unfortunately I have this tendency to identify with the main characters and experience their emotions, so it is difficult for me to watch dramas coolly when the directors usually serve emotional rollercoster.... I would like to finally watch a drama where the budding love of the main characters, despite their difficult path, develops and gives a good ending and fulfillment of love.... Maybe you can suggest some drama that has a good plot, nice cast, but without so much toxicity and trauma and cliffhangers and death of the main leads at the end??
He did not die -- did you not watch the drama properly?? He of course lives/survives -- 2 months later, they meet…
as you can see from the comments below, I wasn't the only one who perceived the ending differently than you.... it's not so clearly shown and concluded, hence my doubts about what really happened at the end... but thank you for the explanation and honestly I'm glad it's a good ending...
what does this ending mean??? ML dies??? Flashback to school days and the FL and ML scene.... what's going on... I hate endings like that....you watch and watch and at the end you get something like this.... what is in the head of such script writers....
From the comments below it appears that the main leads Fl and ML are real enemies who turn into lovers here, they are very toxic, very chaotic, very crazy... in other words, some kind of problem on the emotional level... lack of ability to truly feel love... only fighting, revenge, physical attraction, passion of lovers, which is to replace true love... so I think the ending is predictable as it happens in this type of drama, i.e. tragic for the main characters... has anyone read the script and the ending of the novel? I wonder if I should even start watching it....
Maybe you can suggest some drama that has a good plot, nice cast, but without so much toxicity and trauma and cliffhangers and death of the main leads at the end??
