I am enjoying this drama so far but I often wonder what the casting directors were thinking.
The first cast for ML is older than FL irl but he withdrew and I think LCM was the only one available and matched with what the director had in his mind. LCM participated way later than other cast. He's doing great for someone who has short amount of time to study about his character.

IMO, if you really want to enjoy this, you have to reset your mind and stop comparing. My suggestion is, you have to watch this when you forget about Mr.Queen. I honestly watched 5 years ago so I don't find any similarities besides cooking and time travel theme.

Anyway, I must applaud LCM for taking this role late but he is nailing it! I imagine how hard he must studied to be at par with YoonA. His previous dramas as male lead were meh tbh.
Just like the author of this web novel and BAYM director, I can't see anyone else playing JiYeong other than YoonA. Her hands look so beautiful handling the foods <3.
What a great romcom series, one of the best actually!
Although the story seems to be pretty lacking in the beginning however, the cast and the directing are so good that I can ignore this drama flaws. It's not a perfect romcom but it is at the same time. English is not my first language so I can't really explain it well.
I totally love the perfect chemistry between the two leads. I don't give a shit for people who say one of the leads is bad at acting (especially those who came for the FL). They are blind and just full of hatred that they hate to see other people have fun so they decided to pick on the acting. But guess what, both of the leads are so loved by netizens for playing Won and Sa Rang. They played their role perfectly from the beginning until the end.
In fact, I actually learned a lot from Sa Rang character. She's literally a diligent hardworking sunshine, undeserving hate. I hope those who hate her can't find their own version of Gu Won in their life and spend their life in misery. One of the best FL in Kdrama land. I hope I can be kind and bright like her ngl T_T
If you are contemplating to watch this drama, just watch it! No stress, healthy and matured main/second couple, no stupid misunderstandings, no cliche childhood trope, big green flag both ml/fl, good communications between the main leads, steamy kiss scenes, good friendship/family lessons, nice cinematography and the list goes on..
Goodbye KTL and thank you for making my weekend fun!! You will always have a special place in my heart. I will definitely rewatch whenever I'm in the mood for a silly goofy no brainer romance!
Actually, this is what rom-com should be about. We're just watching two people falling in love with each other and everything else is just a sub plot. I totally get what people mean when they say they want Wonnie to claim his spot, find his mom and etc but, please don't forget we still have 6 episodes left.
