Read LCM's interview post drama. He revealed it was actually filmed how Heon time travelled with the book's torn page and there were narrations about it. He also said they filmed more of the ending scenes that didn't make to the drama. I guess they really didn't have enough time to include all of that. I think those scenes will be included in blue ray or Director cut!

Agree with everything! Btw, in kissing department you can watch her kissing scenes in KTL lol. They were like 18+ something as far as I can remember. I think it's the direction for this drama or just her character here

Yup, supposedly he also went time travel because it was indicated that his body is missing using that torn page of the book. The history changed. I saw someone said in novel he also went through stuffs like Jiyeong. Of course they can't include that in 12 episodes lol

Oh is that so? I may seem defensive to the user down below then. I mean, I will never be able to say that about an actor even if I don't like their acting because I find it's rude. I don't mind if they think YoonA is bad at acting or underperformed as we have different preferences, that's why I didn't comment anything on that.

It just them wanting to replace the actors with their favorite ones annoys me when we all know how hard YoonA worked for this drama. Same goes for Chaemin. If this drama is not doing well or Jiyeong is not a likeable character, they won't say that. In the first place, who made her to be likeable 🤔

I only became her fan after KTL. I watched K2 after and I learned she got hated during that drama because of her character which was changed by the writer. K2 was okayish to me. I don't really like action dramas haha.

I was never interested in her dramas before because the plot wasn't really intriguing for me. As someone who watched her for the first time in KTL, I liked her and I officially turn into her fan because of BAYM.

This drama is a success and well received both locally and internationally because of the current cast. If you say you want another actors to replace the cast, isn't it like discrediting or dismissing the effort the cast had put into this drama? Knowing how bad the cast received backlash in the beginning and they overcome it.

Am I the only one that thinks it's a rude comment towards the actors, no matter who they are? Especially when they are the ones that make the drama popular and well received in the first place. I may can understand a little if the drama is not well received.

Can someone give me a little different perspective on this because I'm genuinely confused by this type of comment.

She only wants her favorite actress to play Jiyoung because this drama is well received and has good ratings. Riding the drama's fame that the actors put their hard work into. I can assure you, without the current cast, this drama will not be as it is right now.

I've seen comments like her since KTL because that also was received well locally and internationally. Weirdly enough when I visited YoonA's dramas that have low-ratings (like HUSH or King in Love), I never see this kind of comment.

That's why I said you're in minority. Yes I'm her fan but I only like her since KTL. I became to like her more in BAYM. I watch a lot of dramas since Daejanggeum and Winter Sonata days.

You can say you don't like her acting without having to give back handed compliments to justify you thinking another actress can play Jiyoung. It's the dismissing the actors efforts when this drama requires massive of it that tick me off in the first place. It's very clear because you don't even acknowledge it. If you say that tacky/lame comment about another actors I would also reply you with that response.

I love Hyeri in Gumiho but I don't think she has the mindset and vibe to play Jiyoung. That's my opinion.

This is such a disrespect statement towards an actress imo. She took cooking class for 3 months for this role and all the dishes in the drama were made by herself on the set just for you to dismiss her playing Jiyoung. Are you sure another actress can give THAT much effort/energy towards Jiyoung's character?

Not to mention she has scars and wounds on her hands from cooking practices and filming. Her face and hand were tanned because of harsh weather since they didn't use a stand-in for her scenes.

Director Jang Tae Yoo sent her the novel to read even before the script is made. The chef who trained her to cook the dishes applaud her skill saying not even a real chef can do it like her. The cheff is know to be strict. Same goes to the author who created the novel said, no one can do better for this character than her. Jiyoung exists because of her according to the Director himself. And you want someone else to play Jiyoung?

A lot of factors contribute to this drama success. The leads chemistry is one of them. You can deny it all you want because people won't be swooning over this lcm-yoona pairing without a good chemistry. Chemistry can't be build with one person. I can promise you, you are in minority that can't see their chemistry. This is not me forcing my opinion on you, I'm just stating a fact.

Imagine your favorite actress playing Jiyoung all day long because in real life, it's YoonA who is acting as Jiyoung and she is loved by people! The proof? Of course the real-time and Netflix Global rating. You can also check other social posts about their chemistry where they have like 100k+ views and likes and people are praising them! :)
