How can you stand watching this drama when 70-80% of this drama contains her scene? And still have the nerve of continue watching it then complain about her acting when it clearly is not aligning to your preference. At this point, it’s your own fault.

The production already put disclaimers and this is a fantasy fictional kdrama so take it as what it is. Them still relating this drama to real history is their own fault.

I watched the film long time ago haha I can't remember the exact plot. Nowadays it's hard to find old Korean films on web. It's not helping that most of pirated websites don't exist anymore :(

IMO if you want to enjoy a drama with an actress you don't like her acting, you have to watch with open mind. Forget her previous roles. Set your mind that you are watching her for the first time. Sometimes it was her previous character that sets you off.

If you still can't after watching two eps, it just means her acting is not for you and that's ok because we all have our own preference.

Have you ever watch Queen for 7 Days? He was played by Lee Dong Gun. I actually sympathize him there. They portrayed him as a king that became a tyrant because he was controlled by everyone around him

In ep4 Jiyoung telling one of the officers she’s not in “some”(situationship) relationship with the king and the officer mistook the word as “ssam”(fight). In episode 3, Jiyoung explaining her handbag scene. There are more but I forget

I think it has to do with the right directing and the chemistry between the casts. Even if you are a good actor, if you don't have chemistry between the casts, script and director, it won't work. For example, Twelve drama which is airing right now. Lots of talented actors in it but the script and directing are confusing as hell.

Chaemin said, Jang Tae Yoo Director and YoonA helped with his role direction. You can see in BTS how they practiced with eo before shooting a lot.

His previous works as ML were not enough to showcase the acting. Just look at his characters and plot. Totally bland.

I also think the pressure from working with big names helps him to step up his acting. If you watch other dramas by this Director, you will get it.

I think this scene is indicating that a meal is not just about the appearance alone, sometimes simplicity is the best for some people. In this case, the Queen Dowager. Throughout her life, she probably has tasted many fancy looking dish. The FL dish reminds her of her long forgotten childhood which no other dish could do it.

At least we still have the pasta later hehe
