It is a very bad idea because tomorrow the same fans will demand from them to share their sadness, their infidelity, their divorce, what time they went to bed and how many times they had sex during the week.

The heart of the matter is that their private lives become news in the first place. This very intrusive attitude must stop because the actors are like everybody else. Why should they feel obliged to announce their private matters, who they date who they marry etc to the world? My point is that it is nobody else's business.
We shouldn't care in the first place because acting is a job. We wouldn't dare to ask the grocery store owner who is dating or who is going to marry because that would be considered as rude and unbecoming.
But we demand from the actors to give us reports about their doings pushing them to give these reports in order to avoid gossiping.
And then we are wandering why most of these celebrities have mental health problems.

Congrats but why did they bother to announce it? This is a private matter after all and no one cares if actors are married or not.

I find very healthy the Asian actors habit to keep their private lives completely private. Their fans follow them after all for their acting work and not for what they are doing when they go home.

She had no reason to kill the other researchers. I think that the original Chimera was Seo Hyun Tae who got rid of the other members of the team in order to become himself the most important person of this project and marry the daughter of the owner of the chemical company that bought their project.

It is possible that he tried to kill Jae Wan's mom too, but after she lost her memory he had no reason to kill her anymore. He probably didn't know that she was pregnant on his child.

Making the murders look like they were serial killings removed all kind of suspicions from himself.
The present Chimera is probably the child of one of those that they were murdered by the original Chimera that he is seeking revenge.

And the Oscar goes to the child actor. This kid is crying his eyes out on each and every scene.

I don't think that they are brothers because the cop's mother is still alive while the doctor's mother is dead. As the supervisor of the adoption agency said to the profiler the orphaned or abandoned children that had still one living parent were not given for adoption to foreign couples.
So both the doctor and the profiler had obviously lost both their parents in order to be adopted the first in US and the second in UK.
That makes me think that they are probably siblings as the profile could be the child that the doctor's mother was carrying when her husband died.
She gave birth and died and the baby was given directly for adoption.

No . It doesn't get any better. Its plot is a mess.

I want to be fair and give a chance to those dramas that don't pick up from the very first episode. But I have dropped many after watching at least the third or fourth episode. At the end of the day we watch movies to entertain ourselves and have some good time. Not to force ourselves to watch crappy productions.

Anyway... this particular one is not good. And it will not get any better because as I read on other comments some viewers dropped it on the 7th and 8th episode. They obviously tried to give to this drama a chance but with no avail.

Had Signal a decent finale perhaps? Signal was good because it had some very solid character development and a good cast. But its plot was a mess. Its end was incomprehensible. It didn't make any sense.

Certainly but.... having to watch 7-8 boring episodes in order to get into the point of the plot is way too much. You watch a drama to get entertained, not to waste your time trying to figure out what is going on for 8 episodes straight.

I'm watching now Chimera f.e that has such a good pace and such an interesting plot that I've watched 6 episodes in three days.

This is quite possible too. I believe that the profiler is the sister of the doctor. Because his mother was pregnant when his father was murdered by the police who tortured him.

They are not brothers. The doctor is the son of the tortured to death guy who was accused falsely that he was Chimera.
The reporter published back in 1984 the name of this guy along with the photo of his wife, ( it shows that at some point) that she was pregnant to her second child and also sick.

That made the neighbors attacking her at the street. At some point this woman died but I don't know if she managed to complete her pregnancy and if the child is the profiler.

But anyway.... The mother died and she left her boy an orphan ( this is the doctor) who was given for adoption to a UK couple.

If the profiler is the baby that she was carrying, then they are siblings with the doctor.

Whatever is the case the profiler was a baby or an infant when she was adopted by a US couple ( probably of Korean descent ) and as she said she doesn't have any recollection of her biological parents and she doesn't care. She was brought up as an American and that is the reason why she said to her friend (Sam) that she found her self feeling completely unrelated with the Korean people.
That is the reason why her friend told her that it should be better for her to socialize with the Koreans instead of observing them as an foreigner.

I think that the cop is an illegitimate child and that his mother lied to him when he told him that his father died etc. or perhaps his father was one of the 1984 victims of Chimera.

The real Chimera was never caught and used the opportunity to disappear after the police announced that it had caught the culprit of those murders and that this person that they arrested without a warrant, committed suicide.

The reason why the real Chimera killed the members of the team that worked on the chemical factory is rather obvious. Probably because they produced the pesticide chemical that killed those who used it or had manipulated the safety data ( or something similar). It shows at some point there were people rioting outside of the companies headquarters. And the CEO of the company saying that they have to disassociate the brand of the company from the chemical and re brand it. So the pesticide is still in production.

I assume that the doctor found the real Chimera and went back to Korea to revenge those who had set up his father.
