I read your review and I feel the changes in genre that seemingly happen every two episodes or so are what makes…
Certainly but.... having to watch 7-8 boring episodes in order to get into the point of the plot is way too much. You watch a drama to get entertained, not to waste your time trying to figure out what is going on for 8 episodes straight.
I'm watching now Chimera f.e that has such a good pace and such an interesting plot that I've watched 6 episodes in three days.
On ep 5 they showed the newspaper picture with the researchers and only the director survived. He's currently…
This is quite possible too. I believe that the profiler is the sister of the doctor. Because his mother was pregnant when his father was murdered by the police who tortured him.
I assumed from episode five that the doctor and the detective are brothers But now after watching episode 6 I'm…
They are not brothers. The doctor is the son of the tortured to death guy who was accused falsely that he was Chimera. The reporter published back in 1984 the name of this guy along with the photo of his wife, ( it shows that at some point) that she was pregnant to her second child and also sick.
That made the neighbors attacking her at the street. At some point this woman died but I don't know if she managed to complete her pregnancy and if the child is the profiler.
But anyway.... The mother died and she left her boy an orphan ( this is the doctor) who was given for adoption to a UK couple.
If the profiler is the baby that she was carrying, then they are siblings with the doctor.
Whatever is the case the profiler was a baby or an infant when she was adopted by a US couple ( probably of Korean descent ) and as she said she doesn't have any recollection of her biological parents and she doesn't care. She was brought up as an American and that is the reason why she said to her friend (Sam) that she found her self feeling completely unrelated with the Korean people. That is the reason why her friend told her that it should be better for her to socialize with the Koreans instead of observing them as an foreigner.
I think that the cop is an illegitimate child and that his mother lied to him when he told him that his father died etc. or perhaps his father was one of the 1984 victims of Chimera.
The real Chimera was never caught and used the opportunity to disappear after the police announced that it had caught the culprit of those murders and that this person that they arrested without a warrant, committed suicide.
The reason why the real Chimera killed the members of the team that worked on the chemical factory is rather obvious. Probably because they produced the pesticide chemical that killed those who used it or had manipulated the safety data ( or something similar). It shows at some point there were people rioting outside of the companies headquarters. And the CEO of the company saying that they have to disassociate the brand of the company from the chemical and re brand it. So the pesticide is still in production.
I assume that the doctor found the real Chimera and went back to Korea to revenge those who had set up his father.
You've endured it for way too long. lol I've dropped it on 4th episode. Where all these high ratings come from?
I wrote a review warning on this. It is way too mixed up. As I replied to another member here it is like a food recipe with way too many materials and spices mixed up in pot. The materials might be of top quality but the final result is a badly made mashup All about everything in a plot that lacks meaning. I can't bother that much and invest that much time to watch something just with the hope that it will pick up after 8 episodes. What if it doesn't pick later??? !!!

The heart of the matter is how hard is to get into this vibe thing. It is not only that the genre is changing constantly, it is that these changes are mixed up and up to the fourth episode that I manage to watch the plot didn't have a point and didn't make sense. Is it the supernatural element the point of this drama, or the crime, or the historical background, or the natural disaster/flood background, or the guy who attacked the rangers on the snow, or the other ranger that is in coma at the hospital and its partner that got disabled?? What....
I would say that the plot is overdone in order to attract the attention ending up destruct completely the attention, because the character development is weak as well and can't support all these different plot points.
It is like a food that you add way too many different materials and spices. They are good on their own but bad if you mixed them up on the same food.
This is not supernatural and it doesn't have for one thing any suspense, It is a mashup of different genres awkwardly assembled in the same plot. It is all about everything and absolutely nothing .
In fictional stories normally would be hard to talk about logics. isn't it ?
It is not training the communication that you have established with your cats.
Each and every cat will react to your signals and hand gestures or the words that you say to it in your language when we come to the basics. Food, petting and such things, let alone if you have raised them in your home . But even if we've exchanged our cats, ( mine doesn't speak English) we would be able to communicate the basics with our cats. If you feed the cat and you pet her and your give her what she wants she will follow you or stay with you. The moment that you will stop giving her what she wants... that's it... she is out to search for a better provider.
Training now are considered the extras. The commands that you can give to dogs to do certain tasks. If we exchanged our dogs and gave you along with my dog a paper with the commands ( in my native language), for the tasks that he is trained to do you wouldn't have any problem to use my dog ( that is an ex policeman dog ) and go out and search for drugs. Because trained dogs listen to the commands no matter who is giving them.
But you wouldn't be able to do this with my cat because there are no commands that she obeys on any language either way. You wouldn't be able to persuade my cat to go out to search for drugs. She doesn't have neither the IQ to understand what you are asking her to do, nor the mentality or the inclination to listen or observe what you are doing and imitate or obey or be trained to do any task at all.
She will always do her own thing.
That is the reason why I say that I cohabit in a very relaxed manner with my cat, but my dog is a member of my family. :)
Dropped on 4th episode due to its mashup plot. All and everything are randomly included in this drama;s plot. The rangers, the ghosts, the spirit of the comatose guy, a killer on the mountain.... only ET is absent from this drama lol but don't worry... they might add it in the next episodes. Add to this the completely uninteresting characters....and that's it ... I'm done!!
I have to say that I love how mature/level headed the FL seems, it also helps that she looks all mature too. A…
I agree with you and that is the reason why I think that they should have cast a somewhat older and more mature man with her. Now the male lead looks like the innocent young guy, because Deng Lun aside of being young he looks too young too.
No.. 699 is actually the apartment that both of the protagonists lived in. The male lead is the one of the early…
Thank you for your quick and informative reply but my comment was a kind of a joke as C-dramas usually have countless episodes that I don't have the time and the energy to watch. C-drama producers as it seems don't have any sense of economy. They tend to exhaust both their ideas and their viewers!
Edit to add: That is the reason why I usually end up watching J-dramas. Because the Japanese go straight to the point. They are focusing on the narration of the story without adding fillers or drug the plot for countless episodes which take that much time to watch that you end up not being able to remember what happened in the beginning!
This started really bad....( I've started watching this drama today). This is not a very good ranger team. They didn't halt the search though they knew that the area was going to be hit by a tornado or at least a level 3-4 storm, having on top of that with them a new and inexperienced ranger without the appropriate attire and equipment.
The female ranger showed some completely unprofessional behavior by not giving the appropriate instructions and by abandoning alone the new and not experienced member of the team who was unprotected for such weather conditions. It is obvious that this lady is not a team player something that can be fatal on such kind of rescue missions on mountains.
