have you guys heard the rumor he might become the new WeTV ambassador? I think people are guessing based on the fact that his remaining dramas are all at Tencent. Not sure what to think of it because iirc Linghe doesn't really like being tied down to a single platform. But if he is made ambassador, he'll do overseas promos. I really wanna see him do overseas promos lol I feel like his company really hasn't taken advantage of his overseas popularity

a supporting character. I don't think the actress is famous. also, I don't think it was a romantic scene. he's playing 2 characters and one of them is a playboy and I think that was one of those scenes lol

tbh you guys need to be more concerned about the director lol Guo Hu is really hit or miss. my excitement for this drama went down a lot when he got announced. I was hoping it'd be ZhiZhu or Zeng Qingjie.

Guo Hu's hit dramas are mostly carried by traffic stars like CY/RJL/LYN or by a good script. Apparently the original author is the scriptwriter so I really don't know how to judge. Also Guo Hu is not known for filming romance scenes with tension, which imo is a key part of this drama since for most of the drama the ML & FL are kind of flirting behind the backs of others. ZQJ on the other hand excels filming at sexual tension (POJ & Blossom director). sigh.

so all the fighting between fans is pointless if the end product is bad. lol.

he usually doesn't take overseas trips when he's filming. the previous times he attended fashion shows was when he was done with filming.

well you should take your complaints to IQIYI because they're straight up doing AI dramas now.

also I watched the IQIYI conference yesterday and .. they really don't have any good dramas left. no wonder linghe stopped taking on iqiyi dramas.

Having said that, the costuming is disappointing so far. The patterns for the clothes look like bed sheets. Don't even know if it'll look better onscreen because the director Guo Hu isn't really know for visuals.. oh well.

why are people complaining about promo focusing on ML.. ZLH is a LOT more famous than LYX in China. LYX is like.. a rising star still. She doesn't have much public recognition. Of course the production company will use his image and name to attract viewers.

I read RTG might air in 2027 Q2 so it means we'll go almost a year without a drama from Linghe. This is why I don't like historical dramas lol the filming takes too long like CiTang will take up to 4 months. Then the post-production is also long. Modern dramas film & air at a faster rate. hope he picks a modern drama after this.

should just ignore reddit. that place barely has any cdrama followers. I frequented the cdrama sub during POJ and it's just not an active community.

it’s funny because the fans of the latter guy is extremely threatened by Linghe. There’s this one account on twitter that is under every Linghe tweet posting negative stuff. idgi! They’re in completely diff career paths. That guy doesn’t have a single hit costume drama.. he can only do modern dramas.

LOL anytime a new drama is a hit, the main actor will be compared to Linghe. Like the currently airing modern drama ML keeps buying bot comments comparing him to Linghe. Idgi Linghe barely even acts in modern dramas (I wish he did!). They should go compare to SWL or YY.. those two always star in modern dramas

the last time he walked with cast members was in 2023 for SOKP. he has always kept to himself at awardshows since then. it's not going to be any different this time. he doesn't like promoting CPs.

I saw a ranking of cdrama actors/actresses IG engagement and Linghe is on top. It's pretty incredible how much popularity he gained from POJ internationally because usually modern dramas are more popular with ifans. The other actors with high engagement like ZYR, CZY, LY etc all got popular for modern dramas. Even Dylan is more known internationally for the Hana Yori Dango remake.

It's the complete opposite domestically because in China, traffic actors usually come from historical dramas, namely Xian Xia. Pretty much every traffic star blew up because of Xian Xia dramas.

I just found it amusing to see HY so high up on the list of IG engagement because he isn't really popular domestically. I guess he got popular with ifans because of that drama with Esther?

this wasn't a big budget drama at all lmao it received hype because of the attractive leads and routers that went viral and that was all. This drama filmed for only 90 days entirely at Hengdian. The source novel isn't famous and the director isn't particulary a-list either.

Actual big budget are the S+ ones. This is a normal S budget drama.
