female centric doesn't mean the ML needs to be poorly written btw. there's a reason why POJ received the most praise for the first 17 episodes. ML basically disappears in the 2nd half and doesn't get any character development. that's just poor writing.
the anticipation for Overdo is immense right now! for example, I just checked tencent & iqiyi's mainland sites and Overdo is currently #7 & #6 on the searches list of these two sites. It means there is a large volume of people who are manually searching the drama's name on the two sites. Usually the top 10 of this list is comprised of currently airing or recently aired dramas. This drama doesn't even have an airing date yet!
as someone that's been following Linghe since LBFAD, it always makes me laugh to see international fans complaining about Linghe's fanbase and victimize his female costars because these actress' fanbases are no victims.

Bai Lu and Esther Yu were both popular actresses with much bigger fanbases so it makes me laugh that international fans think Linghe's fans can bully those two. If anything, it was the complete opposite, Linghe used to get harassed by these actress' fanbase but no one ever brought that to twitter or whatever to victimize him.
His fandom gradually grew after SOKP aired but I think TBT and POJ were turning points in his career. his fanbase grew the most in the past year. honestly, before 2025, there's no way zlh's fanbase could bully anyone lol
cfandom likes to reject rumors roles or rumored costars but for some reason, international fans only have a problem when linghe fans do it. do you guys know Lu Yuxiao's fans were rejecting her rumored drama with Ding Yuxi? this kind of stuff happens a lot in cfandom.
it's obvious to anyone with eyes. the last time that man had hype was in 2020. he's been irrelevant to the public since leaving his last agency. when his drama aired earlier this year, all the PR was spent on creating comparison posts with Linghe and it was soo annoying seeing their names together in hot searches 24/7. Meanwhile when POJ aired, I didn't see a single post about that man so it's clear whose team was making those comparisons.
lowkey glad overdo is not going to air in early July alongside that guy's drama. you have no idea how tired I am of his PR team constantly connecting and promoting him using Linghe
I just noticed The Best Thing has 58K watchers on mdl! this drama lowkey was a sleeper hit with overseas audiences. I think if it was on Netflix, it would be even more popular.
I think we won't see Linghe collab with any of the popular 95-99 line actresses anytime soon because there's the issue of billing. POJ was such a headache with the constant fandom fighting so I think Linghe's team would rather work with rookies now.
