I completely agree. IMO Linghe has a good balance between pretty and masculine. His features are very chiselled and classic looking.

They keep going on and on about foundation but the screenshot they use is from a fan edit that has a filter lol anyone that's watched POJ knows he's actually darker in the drama than in real life because the director uses a yellow lighting for most scenes.

Linghe is actually a lot paler in real life.

Also, EVERY drama uses foundation! even that old man they used to compare to Linghe is wearing foundation lol just in a darker shade. You look in the credits of any tv show and you'll see they all have make up teams. This is the stupidest "controversy" I've ever seen.

I hope his company takes notice of this and arranges some overseas events for him. I used to follow kdramas and when kdramas were a hit, kactors would arrange overseas fanmeetings to interact with ifans. I hope Linghe attends some overseas events!

I can't tell you how stupid the discussion around "makeup general" is. This whole thing blew up because Chinese men were mad Zhu Yu was a hit and Linghe was getting a lot of attention so they took that 5 min scene from episode 19 (I think? it's the scene where he returns) and compared him to another actor who is supposedly rugged. First of all, that scene they took isn't even from a battle. It's XZ returning and he was decked out because it's a celebratory outfit. Second, this is a fantasy drama based on a webnovel. It's not historically accurate. The character's prettiness is like his main selling point lol it gets mentioned 24/7 in the novel and drama. Making XZ a bearded, tanned rugged general makes no sense in the context.

Also, aside from male incels, the people who contributed to this witch hunt are fans of other male actors, in particular WHD, DYX, SWL, DW, CZY etc. I am naming them because there's no point in censoring the hate Linghe has gotten lately from these fandoms.

Zhu Yu is on track to record 80 million streams and will be the most streamed drama since 2024's Joy of Life 2. I know that's why these other fandoms are so butthurt and are trying their hardest to drag down Linghe. Maybe focus on your fave so their works won't flop and you don't need to work on dragging others down to make up for your fave's failures.

it's funny because Zhu Yu is already finished airing but there are like at least 10+ dramas in production that also have generals in makeup lol this ban wouldn't affect Linghe but will affect a bunch of other male actors whose fans were more than happy to join in this witch hunt against Linghe just because they're insecure Zhu Yu was a hit

Yi Jun is filming a drama with CZY & WCR that's slated to start in May and will go on for 3 months at least so Ci Tang won't start production until Sept imo

nah that drama already booked Wang Anyu. The project was initially supposed to be him and Esther Yu but then she backed out of the project. idk if ZJM is gonna accept it but Linghe has nothing to do with it.

after seeing court Xie Zheng in eps 37, I'm really looking forward to Ci Tang lol I think he looks good with long hair but the pinned up hair and court outfit is sooo sexy

if they stick to the script, he'll have most of the screentime.
