but as someone who haven't read the original or watched the donghua, I really have no issue understand their relationships. the bathing and cooking was a smart way to show their dynamics, with the favoured disciple, the outcast and the cunning master. and, imo, mo's good master posing made him even scarier - finding out that the smiles your master gave you meant you were getting closer to your death.
li feiyu's scenes, tho, wasn't enough to make me believe they were so close.

its the second person this week to try to call me some sort of mole because of my observations 🫠 I watch and read interviews. I observe and guess. there is no need to take me seriously either lol
I mean, they made it very clear from the beginning that there would be almost no romance, with the ml always promoted separately from the fl. so it is easy to guess they will cut her and their romance to the max without affecting the storytelling. but ofc, we need to wait and see.

they can't put everything in the drama. 200 eps to 30, ofc they gonna cut a lot. they also said they would add emotional depth, so changes should be expected. still, the story makes sense. being from a small village, ofc han li is naive - not sunny - in the beginning. in the first arc, you can see his intelligence in the way he learned to fight, to cultivate herbs and produce poison almost all by himself. in the test for the sect, by how he soon notices the evil intentions of those cultivators. in the sect, him becoming more and more inconspicuous as he has to deal with enemies inside his own sect. this is a good way to show how han li becomes the fox you all brag about.
I have other criticisms, but I'm still not too sure about them, I will wait for more episodes

btw, mo was creepy and cynic af, idk what you mean with "candid"

the romance never was a focus and they don't want you to ship, so there is no need to further skinship

the continuity error is so real lol there are so many, from the very beginning
