ep14 gonna break me. what an acting from both leads! anyway asking the important question, do they get the herbs in the end? all those actions better be worth it

i saw comments saying zhang wanyi has weaker performance compared to other male leads, imo from the first few chapters of the novel of the episodes that are already out, his character really doesnt offer much, doesnt appear much, nor did readers can expect how his character will turn out later on from this first few chapters, i would say give it more couple of ep when we see more of his scheming? i personally think he did well according to the character given to him in first few ep.

zhang wanyi has always received praise among cnets for his past roles from weaving tale of love, to awakening age and the bond. i know douban score is not to be taken seriously but the bond had 7.7 rating rated by 190K+ users and awakening age had 9.3 rating (one of the highest in china) by 470K+ users and i too like him as an actor so i do had faith in him bringing justice to zhuan xu characters based on his past works. but, i also acknowledge some actors can do good in some show and fall behind in another so just give it more ep till we see more of his performance as this characters 😁

he is not blind he just let it happen bc he sort of need her for power. if you forgot he was a hostage both him and xiang liu are morally grey characters

i too love sang yan story more bc it left a long lasting impact and i just love sang yan a lot as a lover he is the standard imo. af for the recs, im afraid i cant help bc while i do read some novel after none of them were memorable and i was just mindlessly reading waiting to reach the last chapter. but have you tried reading waiting for you in city? it was in my readlist and the novel that inspired fireworks of my heart drama. i had a feeling that i will like the novel bc it has some of my fav trope but i cant guarantee it will be good bc i too havent had time to read it

the ml of the drama and the novel are the same which is zhuan xu or qiang xuan, her cousin in the novel but in the drama they are not blood related

bc his love was selfish and obsessed i heard but i think i will probably like him still bc i might pity him, i mean love and hate can exist at the same time right 😅

oh ik about the misunderstanding trope, it just from some novel review i read, instead of betraying he is too kind and that cause him losing xiao yao and disappoint her which for me valid in her pov eventho he did no wrong. just like in ep4, if things are from his pov, i dont think what he did was wrong, he dont want her to do bad thing, but from her pov she definitely felt like a fool for depending on him

i mean it's pretty early in the ep a lot of things may change seventeen said that would be the last time he betray her, but would he really?

im gonna make my early prediction, the character that will probably hurt me the most would probably xiang liu, xuan and xiao yao? anyway give it to me i love crying for fictional characters

same i think i will hate him a lot later on but i will probably pity him a lot too i love drama with character like these. all four leads (ml &fl) are interesting and imperfect in their own way

now this make sense how i wish we get the author as the scriptwriter as well

yup he receive attention bc he is the host for music bank with irene and they were quite popular from what i remember and despite hello monster poor rating his performance as a psychopath in the drama was also praised by many. i wouldnt say already popular but one of those rising stars. he definitely is more popular than junghwan actor at that time afaik

how long will xuan torture her? do you think it will take 3-4 episodes or more?

xiang liu and xiao liu moments are all golden they never fail to make me laugh

tbh i was team taek from the start, i personally kind of always knew he might be the love interest bc park bogum is the more popular actor? ik this is kind of silly excuse but i watch it ongoing and park bogum was kind on the rise during those years so i had this faith that he will be the love interest. plus taek is left handed just like the adult husband are shown but that doesnt mean i wasnt nervous about who she will end up with but either way i will be fine with both teams bc i think both deserve her.

as for school 2015 i was actually on nam joohyuk team 😂 i swear im not his fan and i was into sungjae at that time but as for me i feel the chemistry between her and njh more 😭

for me this is the best cdrama i watch this year i love it a lot give it a try
