yes i really dont like fl mother but that is what made the drama more realistic imo. parents bragging about their children achievement and some parents too controlling, as an asian i can relate with that.
as for the fl character, i really like her 😅 she doesnt go chase after ml in high school and only do so when they are in college bc of their close relationship and how much he has helped her during their high school days and i just like how she tries hard for her studies. so i guess for me i really like both main lead character and that is why i like this drama so much

finish watching till episode 8 and i gotta say that i like it a lot!! it is so effortlessly funny and i like the acting of both fl and ml. some people said fl complain so much but it is not like she complain to stranger? from what i remember it was with her mother and i think the reason for her complaining is normal. all in all, i really like fl character, she doesnt go chase after ml and just act like a normal human being with another human being.
Another plus: zhai xiaowen is such a cutie, his character annoy me sometimes but he is cute so he is forgiven (jk lol)

i really like this drama. the main cp is so cute and this drama gives me the same feels as with you and my huckleberry friends. the plot is not similar but it gives me the same giddiness and the same ache for the main cp and their life problem. so far into the 10th episode, i truly recommend

idk bc for me only the job and the earthquake is similar other than that the whole plot is very different. i dont like dots but i def like yamh and throughout the drama i rarely get remind of dots that is y i cant relate about the similarity u said bc for me it is very different
Just finished watching this drama, and i have to say that this drama has a lot of similarities with Korea drama…
the date being cancelled is normal bc it shows the reality of people behind this job and the only similarity would be the job and the earthquake that's all. SFL chasing SML is cliche in dramaland and Mika has good relationship w dr Xu, they are good friend but dr xu is jelous of her but even that is different from Dots.
there are just so many differences between the two dramas from the first meet, the FL being a new doctor unlike in Dots where FL is already a good surgeon, the plot, the way they get together, the second couple story are also different putting aside the chasing, they werent already together unlike in Dots, the couple are already together.
Lastly, this drama is based on 2013 novel, if you want to mention about stealing the ideas then it def isnt YAMH but i dont think Dots is stealing from the novel too bc the similarities are only just in the job and the earthquake, even the earthquake scene is different.
